Ted Ginn Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Ted Ginn Jr. Inactive Week 2
Ginn is a surprising inactive this week, as it would appear he is a healthy scratch. His absence could open up some opportunities for the lower level WRs on the Bears, such as Cordarrelle Patterson, Darnell Mooney or Javon Wims, although all three should be considered extremely risky options at best.
Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith Out
Expect Ted Ginn to see extra snaps in Smith's absence.
Ted Ginn Jr. (Illness) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Ted Ginn Jr. did not practice Wednesday due to an illness. The early week illness designation almost always results in the player being able to play that week. Monitor the injury reports the rest of the week, but Ginn Jr. should be ready to play Week 2.
Boom Or Bust
Ted Ginn was a relative disappointment as a chalky value last week, but he could have had a much bigger game than he ended up with. He saw a reasonable seven targets and could have had a long touchdown grab, but Brees underthrew the ball. This game should feature plenty of offense, and I like Ginn's odds better of breaking a big one in what should be a thrilling NFC Championship contest. Give him a long look as a risk/reward value play in GPP formats.
Alvin Kamara, Drew Brees and Ted Ginn are all inactive today
As the Sunday morning inactive started to roll in, it's no surprise to see The Saints rest key players. Alvin Kamara and Drew Brees will not play this week, and even though starters Mark Ingram and Micheal Thomas are active it would be a surprise if they played more than a few snaps this week. Ted Ginn will also be inactive today, and with Teddy Bridgewater getting the start at QB this week, The Saints offense could lean heavily on an unproven group of young players to carry the load in week 17. Keith Kirkwood, Tre'Quan Smith and Dwayne Washington all carry tournament upside on what is shaping up to be an interesting final full slate of the season.
Ted Ginn is active today
The New Orleans Saints offense gets a bit of a boost this weekend as Ted Ginn is on the active roster today vs The Steelers. Ginn has not played since the last week of September and his addition the Saints roster has very little impact in terms of DFS. Over the last few weeks, the team has shown the propensity to spread the ball around and the addition of Ginn back to the offense only makes it harder to narrow down second-tier options in the passing game.
Saints add Ted Ginn 53 man roster
The New Orleans Saints offense could have deep threat receiver Ted Ginn back this week as they have officially added him to their 53 man roster. Ginn has not played since the last week of September and his addition the Saints roster has very little impact in terms of DFS. Over the last few weeks, the team has shown the propensity to spread the ball around and the addition of Ginn back to the offense only makes it harder to narrow down second-tier options in the passing game.
Saints have placed WR Ted Ginn on Injured Reserve
The Saints placed WR Ted Ginn on IR today, meaning they'll be without him for the foreseeable future. Michael Thomas is clearly cemented as Drew Brees' top target, but Cam Meredith's value spikes in a notable way, as does Tre'Quan Smith's. Smith went off with Ginn on the shelf before the Saints bye, catching two scores and acting as the deep-threat in a potent offense, something that will continue to give him GPP appeal. Meredith isn't the same type of field stretcher, but he's a much bigger target and can certainly be useful towards the red-zone while teams hone in on Thomas.
Ted Ginn Did Not Practice
Ted Ginn did not practice. Cam Meredith (knee) was limited. Perhaps some value will open at WR for the Saints. We will keep you up to date as the week moves on
Ted Ginn (knee) OUT Monday night
Ted Ginn has been ruled out Monday night due to a knee injury. Look for Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara to see the majority of the passing targets for this high powered offense, with Cam Meredith picking up a few additional targets in Ginn's absence.
