Terry McLaurin Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (toe) upgraded to a full practice participant Thursday
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (toe) upgraded to a full practice participant Thursday
WAS WR Terry McLaurin and RB J.D. McKissic listed questionable for Sunday; WR Curtis Samuel ruled out
Terry McLaurin and J.D. McKissic have been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, while Curtis Samuel has been ruled out. With Samuel ruled out, DeAndre Carter and Adam Humphries should play a larger role in the offense behind Terry McLaurin (who HC Ron Rivera has said he is highly optimistic of to play). Both Humphries and Carter are not likely to see enough work to be considered in DFS contests and especially with Kyle Shurmur expected to start at quarterback at this time. McKissic if available should return to his normal role splitting time with Antonio Gibson and seeing the bulk of the passing down work. If he were to be unavailable, Gibson would be one of the better plays on the slate due to expected volume with Jaret Patterson available to back him up. It will be important to check inactives 90 minutes before kickoff to see if McLaurin and McKissic will be available.
WAS WR Terry McLaurin returned to practice Thursday; RB J.D. McKissic and WR Curtis Samuel DNP
Terry McLaurin returned to practice Thursday, while J.D. McKissic and Curtis Samuel both logged DNPs ahead of their matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. If McKissic were once again to be ruled out, Antonio Gibson would lead the backfield with Jaret Patterson and Wendell Smallwood available to back him up. McLaurin seems to be trending in the right direction this week to remain Washington's top option in the receiving game. If Samuel were to miss DeAndre Carter and Adam Humphries could play larger roles behind McLaurin.
WAS WR Terry McLaurin (concussion), WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) and RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) all DNP Wednesday
Terry McLaurin (concussion), Curtis Samuel (hamstring) and J.D. McKissic (concussion) all logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of their matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. If McLaurin were to miss this weekend, the receiving corps would be led by DeAndre Carter, Adam Humphries, and Curtis Samuel (status also in question). All three receivers would become much better value options based on the increase in expected production stemming from McLaurin's hefty target share being split among them. If McKissic were once again to be ruled out, Antonio Gibson would lead the backfield with Jaret Patterson and Wendell Smallwood available to back him up.
WAS WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring), WR Curtis Samuel (groin), and WR Dyami Brown (knee) all DNP Wednesday
Terry McLaurin (hamstring), Curtis Samuel (groin), and Dyami Brown (knee) all logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of their matchup with the Denver Broncos. McLaurin has been dealing with this hamstring injury for a few weeks now but has been able to suit up every game so this is likely just a maintenance day. Curtis Samuel is still dealing with a groin issue and this is starting to look like a lost season for him. Brown was injured last game and is still not able to practice. It is still fairly early in the week but the practice status of these players will be important to monitor as some cheap receiver value could open up for the Washington Football Team.
WAS WR Curtis Samuel and WR Cam Sims DNP Thursday; RB Antonio Gibson, WR Terry McLaurin, WR Dyami Brown, and TE Ricky Seals-Jones all limited
The WFT has had a lengthy injury report all year, and this week was no exception as they prepare to play the Green Bay Packers. The biggest names (Gibson and McLaurin) were both limited; McLaurin isn't really expected to miss, but there was some chatter about Gibson missing this week; his stress fracture in his shin limited him to 40% of the snaps last week, but he looks to be in good shape as he was able to get some work in now. RSJ and Brown look like they will both play; Seals-Jones has played every snap at TE, and although his price has gone up a bit, he'll still be viable as a cheap TE. Both Samuel and Sims have missed their second straight practice, and are looking closer to doubtful; both players missed last week, and Samuel's groin has been bothering him since week 1. The pass game will likely flow through McLaurin, RSJ, Brown, and Deandre Carter, but other than Mclaurin and Seals-Jones (and possibly the RBs), the team's better off being avoided.
WAS RB Antonio Gibson, WR Terry McLaurin, WR Curtis Samuel, WR Cam Sims, and TE Ricky Seals-Jones all DNP Wednesday; WR Dyami Brown limited
Antonio Gibson, Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Cam Sims, and Ricky Seals-Jones all logged DNPs Wednesday. Wow, this injury report is long as seemingly nothing can go right for the Washington Football Team so far this season. It is still early in the week and right now the hope is that all these players will be good to go by Sunday when they are set to take on the Green Bay Packers, but it looks like they will all be a little banged up heading into that contest. If Gibson were to miss, J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson would lead the backfield with McKissic expected to see the majority of the snaps becoming a much stronger play. The only healthy receiver for Washington that regularly sees snaps is Adam Humphries and depending on how many other pass-catchers are healthy enough to play on Sunday could be in store for a larger target share. This long list of injured players needs to be monitored throughout the week as value plays could be opened up ahead of Sunday.
WAS WR Terry McLaurin and RB Antonio Gibson both expected to play Sunday
Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson both expected to play Sunday after being listed as questionable on the injury report Friday. McLaurin was a surprise inclusion on the injury report while Gibson has been dealing with a shin issue for a couple of weeks now. Both should be able to suit up and play their normal role in what should be one of the highest scoring games on the slate. Both McLaurin and Gibson can be considered in your game stacks.
WAS WR Curtis Samuel and WR Cam Sims ruled out for Sunday; WR Terry McLaurin and RB Antonio Gibson listed questionable
Curtis Samuel and Cam Sims have been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson have been listed as questionable. The Washington Football Team will be thin at WR in a matchup where they are expected to need to throw the ball but McLaurin is expected to be able to suit up. He should be the top option in the passing game with Adam Humphries and Dyami Brown also available. McLaurin should be considered in most formats as he should see a hefty target share in a game that will likely require Taylor Heinicke to try to match the scoring output of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense.
Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson both active tonight; Alex Smith inactive, as expected
Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson are both active tonight, giving the Football Team their top offensive weapons. Alex Smith is inactive, as expected, and Taylor Heinicke will start at QB instead. Washington has been winning with Smith at QB, but the offense has not been good, so the change to Heinicke may not actually be a hit to the offense.
