Tevin Coleman Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

SF RB Tevin Coleman and WR Malik Turner have been elevated from the practice squad.

SF RB Tevin Coleman and WR Malik Turner have been elevated from the practice squad.

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman placed on COVID list

Tevin Coleman has been placed on the COVID list and will likely be out for this Sunday's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Coleman likely out, Austin Walter and Ty Johnson will likely split backup reps behind Michael Carter who could see a slightly larger role than usual. It remains difficult to roster pieces of the Jets offense, especially in a tough matchup against the Buccaneers defense.

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman and TE Trevon Wesco returned to practice Wednesday

Tevin Coleman and Trevon Wesco returned to practice Wednesday ahead of the Jets matchup with the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. Tevin Coleman seems to be trending in the right direction to make his return this weekend and slot back into the third running back role behind Michael Carter (expected to be activated off IR) and Ty Johnson. Coleman doesn't figure to be DFS relevant at this time. Trevon Wesco is also trending in the right direction and should slot back into his role as a backup tight end to Ryan Griffin. Wesco does not project to be DFS relevant this week.

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman and TE Trevon Wesco ruled out for Sunday; WR Elijah Moore and TE Ryan Griffin are questionable

Tevin Coleman and Trevon Wesco have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, while Elijah Moore is considered questionable. With Coleman out, Ty Johnson and recent signing Austin Walter will likely split the backfield work with La'Mical Perine available to back them both up. Johnson seems to be slated to see slightly more action and can be considered the better of the two options. With Wesco ruled out, Kenny Yeboah and Daniel Brown will likely split backup tight end duties behind Ryan Griffin (trending to be available). If Moore were to be officially ruled out, Jamison Crowder and Keelan Cole would play much larger roles in the offense and could be considered based strictly on expected volume.

NYJ TE Ryan Griffin returned to practice Thursday; WR Elijah Moore, RB Tevin Coleman, and TE Trevon Wesco DNP

Ryan Griffin returned to practice Thursday, while Elijah Moore, Tevin Coleman, and Trevon Wesco all logged their second straight DNP. It looks like Griffin is trending in the right direction to play Sunday and should be considered the top tight end for the Jets. If Coleman were to miss, Ty Johnson and recent signing Austin Walter would likely split the backfield work and become much better plays. If Moore were to be ruled out, Jamison Crowder and Keelan Cole would play much larger roles in the offense and could be considered based strictly on expected volume. If Wesco were to miss Kenny Yeboah and Daniel Brown would likely split backup tight end duties behind Griffin. It will be important to check the injury report released tomorrow to see what the status of each player is.

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman, WR Elijah Moore, TE Ryan Griffin, and TE Trevon Wesco all log DNPs Wednesday

Tevin Coleman, Elijah Moore, Ryan Griffin, and Trevon Wesco all logged DNPs Wednesday. If Coleman were to miss, Ty Johnson and recent signing Austin Walter would likely split the backfield work and become much better plays. If Moore were to be ruled out, Jamison Crowder and Keelan Cole would play much larger roles in the offense and could be considered based strictly on expected volume. If Ryan Griffin and/or Wesco were to be unable to suit up on Sunday, Kenny Yeboah and Daniel Brown would likely split time at tight end. It will be important to monitor the Jets practice reports over the upcoming days to see which players will be available this weekend.

NYJ QB Zach Wilson listed Doubtful for Sunday; WR Corey Davis and RB Tevin Coleman listed questionable but expected to play

Zach Wilson has been listed doubtful for Sunday while Corey Davis and Tevin Coleman were listed questionable but are expected to play. Mike White will draw the start for the Jets regardless of Wilson's health and will continue to start until he struggles. Corey Davis should return to his role opposite Jamison Crowder as the top wide receiver for the Jets while Coleman should return to his role as running back three behind Michael Carter and Ty Johnson. The Jets have a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills defense making it difficult to start any offensive members with any confidence. It will be best to avoid the Jets if possible in Week 10.

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman ruled out for Thursday; WR Corey Davis listed doubtful; TE Trevon Wesco not listed on injury report

Tevin Coleman has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Indianapolis Colts while Corey Davis has been listed as doubtful. Coleman's role has steadily decreased as Michael Carter and Ty Johnson have emerged this season, so Coleman's absence should not be too DFS relevant. Carter and Johnson should continue to see the bulk of the work and La'Mical Perine will see whatever touches are left. With Davis likely out, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, and Denzel Mims should lead the receiving corps for the Jets and see the majority of the targets. Trevon Wesco was not listed on the injury report and should serve as the third tight end behind Tyler Kroft and Ryan Griffin, he is not expected to be DFS relevant outside of a dart throw punt play on the showdown slate.

NYJ WR Corey Davis and RB Tevin Coleman listed as DNP on estimated practice report ahead of Thursday night; TE Trevon Wesco listed as limited

Corey Davis and Tevin Coleman were listed as DNPs on the Jets' estimated practice report ahead of their Thursday night contest against the Indianapolis Colts. Corey Davis has been dealing with a hip injury and has yet to practice but still has a chance to suit up on Thursday. If Davis is able to play, he would immediately slot in as the Jets top receiver and would need to be considered for the showdown slate in a game the the Jets are expected to be trailing (14.5 point underdogs at the time of writing). Tevin Coleman has seen his role steadily decrease throughout the season and should only be considered as a dart throw punt option at this point if he is able to suit up. Trevon Wesco was listed as limited and would be expected to serve as tight end depth behind Tyler Kroft and Ryan Griffin. Wesco also only should be considered as a desperation dart throw punt option for the Thursday night slate.

NYJ WR Corey Davis officially listed doubtful Sunday; RB Tevin Coleman ruled out

After Coach Saleh mentioned during his news conference that Davis wasn't looking good due to a hip injury he suffered in practice, the Jets ultimately designated Davis as doubtful as the Jets prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals. With Mike White slinging the ball, it's unlikely that any pass catcher will do much, but this should lead to more snaps and targets for Jamison Crowder, Elijah Moore, and Denzel Mims. Coleman was ruled out once again, so the Jets backfield should be a two man group again, led by Michael Carter, with Ty Johnson working in as well.
