NOS RB Tony Jones Jr., TE Taysom Hill, and WR Deonte Harty are all inactive.

Alvin Kamara and Tony Jones Jr. are both officially inactive for Thursday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys. As expected, Alvin Kamara has officially been listed inactive meaning Mark Ingram will lead the backfield and is expected to be a full-go at 100% after missing last week with a knee injury. Dwayne Washington will be available to back up Ingram, though as we have seen in the past it's Ingram’s backfield when Kamara is out. In somewhat of a surprising move Tony Jones was a healthy scratch meaning Washington will be the only true running back available (Adam Prentice is available but is a fullback)., though Washington is still not expected to play much of a role. Wide receiver Ty Montgomery could play a role in the backfield especially on third down, expect him to see some snaps at running back as well. Ingram can be considered as one of the top plays of the showdown slate and played in most formats due to expected volume and production.

It does not appear that the Saints will have Mark Ingram Thursday night against the Bills, a notable loss with Alvin Kamara already out of the lineup. Assuming Ingram can't go, Tony Jones would figure to take on the lion's share of the RB work with Alex Armah and Dwayne Washington also candidates to see increased work behind him. Jones missed a good chunk of time earlier this year, but he's healthy at a convenient time and does become a worthwhile DFS target on the Thanksgiving slate. We'll continue to update Ingram's status as the day unfolds.

The Saints are already without Alvin Kamara, who tested positive for COVID-19, and now Latavius Murray, Dwayne Washington and Michael Burton have all been deemed close contacts. That means those players will be out Week 17, leaving the Saints with Ty Montgomery, Tony Jones and Taysom Hill as the available options rushing. Montgomery has been working as a WR, but has experience at RB, although he hasn't had 10 carries in a game since 2017. Tony Jones is a rookie practice squad RB, which at least means he is familiar with the RB playbook. Hill does a little bit of everything on offense for the Saints, and will certainly be a big factor around the goal line.
