Travis Zajac Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This MVP isn't having the season one would have hoped.

The New Jersey Devils host the Ottawa Senators, the team with the worst defensive numbers in the league. Ottawa is allowing a league-worst 3.86 goals against per game and has the worst CF% in the league with a 42.56 percent mark. The New Jersey Devils could score in bunches and this game could be a surprise high-scoring game. Taylor Hall is playing with Travis Zajac and Blake Coleman, and while Hall isn't having the best season after winning the MVP last year, but he's still been good. He has 33 points in 31 games but it is the 9 goals that stand out. After scoring 39 last year, he is on pace for just 23. Regardless, this is a premium matchup for Hall and his linemates and going with a two-man mini-stack with Hall and Zajac might make the most sense as they both play on the top power play unit together.

Devils looking for a spark on top line

With Nico Hischier ruled out for tonight and Brian Boyle placed on injured reserve, veteran center Travis Zajac should see significant ice time. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has quietly collected 11 points (6G, 5A) in 14 games thanks in large part to a sky high shooting percentage (28.6%). Tonight, Zajac is set to center Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri as they take on a Pittsburgh team that has struggled defensively. Last week Zajac had four shots on goal and a goal as the Devils dominated the Penguins 5-1 in Pittsburgh. Last season, Zajac made a living picking on the Penguins as in four games the veteran center potted a pair of goals and dished out four helpers. At $5,100 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel, Zajac and linemates Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri make for a strong stack in tournaments.
