Yanni Gourde Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
This winger has struggled in this premium matchup this season
The Tampa Bay Lightning have switched up their lines a bit with Yanni Gourde joining Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Ottawa Senators. Kucherov has just two points in three games against the Sens this season, but that is fluke more than anything. He's running away with plenty of offensive categories as he has an eight point lead on the Art Ross, nine assist lead over second and eight more power play points than the next. He's also put up 39 goals in the process. Kucherov has been an absolutely dominant offensive force this season.
This winger is on a ridiculous streak right now
Nikita Kucherov has been absolutely ridiculous as of late. He has 18 points — including 7 goals — over his last 5 games, which is simply insane. He's been playing with Brayden Point and Yanni Gourde at even strength as of late, but half of these points have come with the man advantage. The Tampa Bay Lightning power play has 9 power play goals in 20 attempts over these last 5 games which is an absurd 45 percent success rate. On the season, the Philadelphia Flyers have a 27th ranked penalty kill which kills off just 77.0 percent of their disadvantages.
This superstar has been on a tear
With an absurd 13 points in his last 4 games, Nikita Kucherov and the Tampa Bay Lightning visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. This surge comes after Kucherov had just 6 points in his previous 10 games, though he still remained the NHL points leader through the slump. Kucherov is playing with Brayden Point and Yanni Gourde on the 1b line of the Lightning. Point and Kucherov play on the same PP unit which gives the two man stack a bit more appeal.
Cheap Tampa Bay top liner worth your consideration
The Tampa Bay Lightning are rolling, picking up 11 wins in 12 games, with their only loss coming in overtime in Winnipeg. Yanni Gourde has not been a big part of that however as he has just one goal and four assists this month. However, his price is under $5,000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel now. With J.T. Miller banged up, Gourde could see more run on the power play. With a red-hot Steven Stamkos centering him, Gourde is a nice option to gain exposure to one of the highest scoring game environments of the evening.
This superstar is starting to heat up.
While focus for the Tampa Bay Lightning has been how hot their other line has been, Steven Stamkos has been starting to pick up steam — especially in the goal-scoring department. He has 8 goals in his last 7 games to go along with 4 assists. He's been playing alongside Ondrej Palat and Yanni Gourde as of late, but the other two haven't had quite the same success. Five power play goals and six total power play points over those seven games are a large factor in the uptick in offence. Stamkos makes for a great one-off play, but given that the Lightning have averaged 4.7 goals per game over their last 10, they should be able to score plenty tonight.
Youngster Promoted to Top Line
The in the Tampa Bay practice lines this morning, Matthieu Joseph was spotted along side Steven Stamkos and Yanni Gourde, a notable promotion from his recent third line duties. The 21 year old has elite speed and has shown flashes, apparently enough to get a shot at more minutes. It's possible the lines won't stick for the entire game, but at essentially minimum price across the industry, he's worth a dart throw at home against the Sabres.
This superstar centre is severely underpriced.
Steven Stamkos has certainly struggled to get going this season with just one assist in his first four games. He also hasn't been shooting much with just eight shots which is pretty discouraging. However, this is Stamkos so we have to expect he's going to pick things up. He's been playing on the wing with Brayden Point centering him and Yanni Gourde, a line that should be able to produce plenty of offence given the seasons they all had last year. The Lightning are massive -310 favourites in a game with an over/under of 6.0 and should go over against the Detroit Red Wings. In 6 games, the Red Wings have allowed a league-worst 4.83 goals against per game and 33.3 shots against per game.
Only Connor McDavid is faster than this Lightning center
Priced accordingly on FanDuel at $6,500, Brayden Point is flying under the radar on DraftKings, where he is a flabbergasting $5,200. The speedy center torched the Florida Panthers last season, tallying four goals and four assists in just four games. As a feature on the team’s loaded top power play unit with Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, J.T. Miller and Victor Hedman, Brayden Point should thrive against a Florida team which really drops in quality after their loaded top-six. Point is an excellent play on DraftKings in all formats and can be utilized in stacks on both sites given his cheap linemates Ondrej Palat and the ever-dangerous Yanni Gourde.
This player has been dominant in his first full NHL season
In just his first full NHL season, Yanni Gourde has been fantastic for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Playing in a bunch of different spots in the top line, he has fit in just about everywhere. He is expected to play alongside Brayden Point and Tyler Johnson tonight and this line should be in a decent spot against whoever they match up against for the Bruins. Gourde has been especially dominant as of late, picking up seven goals and 21 points in 20 games played since February 1st. This entire line is on the second power play unit, which gives the entire stack extra upside as this line is always on the ice together in its' entirety.
Pivot To This Second Line In Tournaments
If you're looking to differentiate your lineup from the masses that will likely be rostering Tampa's top line, consider pivoting to the second line which features Point, Gourde, and Johnson. With a combined 23 points over their past 10 games, this line draws a fantastic matchup against an Ottawa squad that has allowed the most shot attempts and he scoring chances among road teams over their past 25 games. Brayden Point meanwhile leads all skaters in on ice scoring chances among home forwards on tonight's slate. In a game Tampa Bay should dominate from start to finish, expect another solid performance from this underrated trio to easily pay off their manageable price tags.
