Superstar center eyes bounceback season
Across the industry, Nathan MacKinnon represents a strong value at center. On both FanDuel and DraftKings, Nathan checks in under $6,000, and on FantasyDraft, 19 other centermen are priced above him. Last season was a disappointing one for MacKinnon as he suffered from an abysmal 6.4 shooting percentage -- a considerable dip from the 10% in his rookie year, 7.3% in his sophomore season, and 8.6% in his third season. Boston's best defensive days are behind them as Zdeno Chara is 40 years old; additionally, defensive stud Patrice Bergeron has been ruled out for tonight which should offer Colorado more offensive opportunities. MacKinnon is certain to be overlooked despite multi-point upside against the declining Boston Bruins.
Zdeno Chara Back in the Lineup
After missing the first two games of the season with an upper-body injury, Chara will return to the Bruins lineup this afternoon against Tampa Bay. The Bruins have looked lost in the season's first two games, but getting their top defender back on the ice should make a big difference. Chara is a very solid GPP play on a short slate, since he's got some scoring upside from the blue line that not many other defensemen possess.
