One question many sports bettors have is how to delete their account. There are countless reasons why you may feel inclined to get rid of it—maybe you’re done now that you got what you wanted out of the BetMGM bonus code or you want to take a permanent break from gambling. Whatever the reason, knowing how to delete your account it isn’t always a clear cut answer.

In this article, I’ll tell you how to delete your BetMGM account from the mobile app or website alike, as the process is the same regardless of which you’re using.

How to delete a BetMGM account on their app or website

On the BetMGM mobile app, your first step to deleting your account will be to click on your account tab on the bottom right of your screen. The only difference between app and website is you’ll need to click on the top right corner of your screen on BetMGM’s website.

Below the section containing your wallet is where you’ll see a list of account details for you to click on.

Click “Account Settings” and you’ll see a smaller list of items to click on. The final item titled “Service Closure” can be clicked on next. You’ll see your BetMGM Sportsbook, casino, and poker accounts all show up.

You can click “Close” or “Close All” if you want to close all three of your BetMGM accounts. You’ll be shown a list of consequences to closing your account. You’ll be asked to answer a few questions such as how long you want it to be closed and a reason as to why you’re doing it.

After you’ve answered BetMGM’s questions, your account will be closed.

There are alternatives to deleting your BetMGM account

While the purpose of this article is to guide you through deleting your BetMGM account, I also have some alternatives to offer up to you for consideration. One alternative is setting a timeout on yourself.

Impose a timeout on yourself by clicking on the “Responsible Gambling” tab when the list of your account settings appears. You can then click on “Time-Out” and click “Time Me Out” after reading the consequences of timing out.

This allows you to take a break for a set time period. After that time period is up, you’ll be able to access your account again. But you won’t have access to your account during that time period.

Setting a responsible gambling limit is the other option at your disposal. This option is also available under the “Responsible Gambling” tab of your account settings. You can choose from a wide range of limits to impose on yourself including deposit, gambling, and withdrawal.
