Our Sunday football for Week 6 finishes with an interconference showdown between the Bengals and Giants at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Both teams come into the game in last place in their respective divisions, with the Giants 2-3 and the Bengals 1-4, so if either team is going to turn their season around, they’ll need to pick up a win. Despite coming into the game with just one win, the Bengals are favored on the road by 3.5 points in a game with a 47-point total. Cincinnati has scored the 4th-most points per game in the NFL and have just a -5 point differential, but they have allowed the 2nd-most points per game on defense. The Giants, on the other hand, have scored the 6th-fewest points per game while allowing the 11th-fewest points per game on defense.

On the injury front, the Giants are expected to be without star rookie WR Malik Nabers as well as starting RB Devin Singletary for the second game in a row. The Bengals are expected to be fully healthy, although both Chase Brown and Zack Moss were on the injury report this week, so you’ll want to be sure to follow the RotoGrinders NFL starting lineups page as inactives hit for the latest details in case there are any surprises. Also, don’t forget to use our NFL DFS optimizer, LineupHQ. Whether you’re a hand builder or an MME player, it’s the perfect tool to utilize.

Bengals vs. Giants NFL DFS Lineup Advice

Primetime Game History

The Bengals’ last primetime game was in Week 3 when they played the Commanders on Monday Night Football. Playing at home as 7.5-point favorites, the Bengals dominated CPT ownership in the DraftKings large-field contest, as 4 of the 5 most popular CPT choices were Ja’Marr Chase (21.9%), Joe Burrow (16.0%), Zack Moss (9.8%), and Tee Higgins (7.2%)- all seeing greater than 7% ownership. Despite losing to the Commanders in a 38-33 shootout, Chase ended up as the CPT in the winning lineup, joined by Burrow, Moss, and $200 TE Erick All in the FLEX spots. With no player on the roster coming in at less than 12.3% ownership, the 1st-place prize was divided 68 ways among duplicated lineups.

The Giants’ last primetime game was in Week 4 against the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. Highly-projected stars CeeDee Lamb (17.4%), Malik Nabers (14.7%), and Dak Prescott (14.1%) were the most popular CPT choices, with Devin Singletary (12.2%) also seeing double-digit CPT ownership in the DraftKings large-field contest. Lamb, Nabers, and Prescott all made it into the winning lineup in the FLEX spots, but it was Giants kicker Greg Joseph who made them all fit at just a 0.3% CPT ownership.

Looking at these past Showdown contests, we again see some consistent themes. Pass catchers (including RBs) often end up in the CPT spot ahead of their QBs, with their QBs appearing in a FLEX spot. We also see lineups that contain at least one low-owned player. Often, we don’t want to avoid chalk entirely, but it can be critical to find at least one lower-owned — but still viable — option, even if it is at the CPT spot. The Joseph lineup is a reminder that if we are trying to get multiple high-priced players into our lineup on DraftKings, sometimes it pays off to drop down in the salary list.
