DraftKings Announces 2016 FBWC: $1 Million Top Prize
Daily fantasy NBA enthusiasts have been patiently waiting for the announcements of this year’s live basketball finals, and the time has come.
DraftKings will be hosting the 2016 Fantasy Basketball World Championship at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego on March 18th, with a tidy $1,000,000 first-place prize and $4,000,000 in total cash up for grabs.
Qualifiers for the event will begin on January 8th, and a three-team maximum has been set, meaning a participant cannot earn more than three entries into the live final. Each package (a $46,500 value) will consist of the following:
• A FBWC Ticket and a chance at $1,000,000
• A five-night (March 16th-21st) VIP trip to San Diego
• $1,000 cash for airfare
• Exclusive viewing parties throughout the opening weekend of the NCAA tournament
