NFL Week 4 Lines

Week 4 Lines We’re Betting Now

Cardinals vs. Rams UNDER 54.5 (-105 at PointsBet)

Andy Means: Clearly, both of these offenses are legit. After all, each team is averaging more than 30 points per game through the first three weeks. But these defenses are really good too. The Rams came into the season expecting to have a great defense, and the Cardinals have certainly been an early season surprise on that side of the ball. A bunch of points will probably be scored in this one, but I still expect it to come in under the total when it’s all said and done.”

Cleveland Browns -1.5 (at Minnesota Vikings)

Nick Galaida: In their Week 3 victory against the Chicago Bears, the Cleveland Browns out-gained their opponent 418-47. The final score being 26-6 simply does not do justice to how overpowering the Browns were on Sunday. In Week 4, Cleveland travels to take on the Minnesota Vikings on the road and are being severely under-valued at sportsbooks at less than a field goal favorite.

The market is treating Minnesota’s victory against the Seattle Seahawks as if Minnesota just defeated the Legion of Boom. Rather, Seattle is an average football team with some flashy names. Cleveland has dominated the trench war against every team they have played this year. If not for some special teams mistakes in their Week 1 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, they would likely still be undefeated and a much heavier favorite this weekend.

Bettors should have little hesitation putting their faith in a well-disciplined Browns team that is once again going to win the line of scrimmage with ease. I would not be surprised to see Cleveland favored by four points by this weekend.

Baltimore Ravens +1.5 (at Denver Broncos)

Sloan Piva: As always, a few games stick out on the early odds boards for the upcoming week. I’m already quite intrigued by the feisty, tough-luck 0-3 Lions getting 3.5 points in Chicago against a struggling Bears offense. The AFC defending-champion Chiefs -5.5 in Philly seems pretty inviting, too (do we really expect Kansas City to start slow after dropping two straight games for the first time in forever!?). However, my favorite early line of the week would have to be the Baltimore Ravens +1.5 in Denver on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos have been a great story out of the gate, with Teddy Bridgewater finding himself in his new home at Mile High. But who have they defeated? The Jets, Jaguars, and Giants might comprise the top three 2022 NFL Draft picks, for all we know right now. None of those three squads possess as strong an all-around defense as the Ravens, and they definitely cannot hold a candle to Baltimore’s complex running attack. Led by 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson, the Ravens have already upended the Chiefs, and their only loss so far came via the Raiders in an overtime slugfest in Week 1 on Monday Night Football. Without second-year stud receiver Jerry Jeudy (IR), and with a running attack still getting its bearing, Denver should endure its first loss of the season in Week 4 against the visiting Ravens.

Kansas City Chiefs -5.5 (at Philadelphia Eagles)

Schmitto: This line is already moving and it’ll move even more if the Cowboys beat the Eagles handily tonight, which I too think will happen. Luckily we can still grab the Chiefs -5.5 at BetRivers and Unibet, though they’re -6.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Dating back to the halfway point of 2020, the Chiefs have an abysmal record against the spread. Most of that has to do with the Chiefs defense and in part due to Kansas City’s often slow starts. The Chiefs defense will continue to be a problem, but I think they’ll find a way to contain Jalen Hurts. As for the offense, expect Patrick Mahomes & Co. to come out firing on all cylinders and not let off the gas. Grab the Chiefs -5.5 now where available and consider PointsBetting them (the more they cover the spread by, the more money you can win) tomorrow once PointsBet Sportsbook opens their line for the game. This could get ugly.
