Our Week 7 Sunday Night game features the Jets and Steelers in Pittsburgh, with the Jets favored by 2 points in a game with a low 39.5-point total. The Jets come in with more of the media attention given their recent acquisition of Davante Adams, but New York comes into the game at 2-4 on a 3-game losing streak, while the Steelers come into the game at 4-2. As the line indicates, both of these teams are strong defensively, with the Steelers allowing the 2nd-fewest points per game and the Jets allowing the 7th-fewest points per game.
While the injury report for this game isn’t long with significant injuries for our DFS contests, the depth charts on both teams have had significant changes over the past week. On the Jets’ side, the trade for Davante Adams immediately changes the offense, with Adams expected to play due to the hamstring-healing power of trades. For the Steelers, Russell Wilson is expected to start at QB for the first time for Pittsburgh. Primetime Game History
Even though this is only Week 7, it’s already the Jets 4th primetime game, with the team having appeared on Monday Night Football twice already and Thursday Night Football once. Most recently, New York played the Bills last week on Monday Night, losing 23-20. Breece Hall (29.6%), Josh Allen (20.98%), and Garrett Wilson (8.9%) were the most popular CPT choices in the DraftKings large-field contest, and it was Wilson who appeared in the winning lineup in the top spot. Hall and Allen appeared in FLEX spots, along with Allen Lazard and Greg Zuerlein from the Jets. Interestingly, Aaron Rodgers did not make it onto the winning roster despite his WR Wilson being the winning CPT.
This is the second primetime game of the season for the Steelers, who played Dallas on Sunday Night football in Week 5. With Pittsburgh coming into that game as 2.5-point favorites, the most popular CPT choices were Justin Fields (24.1%) and Najee Harris (17.5%). Fields and Harris appeared in the winning lineup in the FLEX spots, but it was the Steelers DST that was the winning CPT despite Pittsburgh dropping the game 20-17 to the Cowboys.
