Happy Tuesday! We are down to the final week of the regular season, which means we are going to be seeing a lot of shenanigans. This will be most prevalent with pitchers, where I’ll do my best to try and figure out who might have short leashes, but for the most part, it’s just going to be guesswork. This is especially true for teams who have clinched their playoff spots, but it can even be true for teams playing out the string. Personally, I play a very small percentage of my usual volume in this final week, and I am more willing to throw random cheap darts when it’s likely that no one has ceiling games.

Also note that we have a slight difference between the FD and DK slates, with DK including Game 2 of the TB/NYY doubleheader, while FD is leaving that off their slate.

Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

We’ve got a solid group of pitchers here, although I’m going to be able to narrow this top tier down to a small primary pool pretty easily.

TOP TIER PITCHING

• Taj Bradley at Giants – 27.5% K, 10.1% BB, 3.81 ERA, 3.81 SIERA
• Drew Rasmussen at Yankees (DK) – 25.3% K, 4.5% BB, 2.72 ERA, 3.34 SIERA
• Logan Gilbert vs. Astros – 27.2% K, 6.5% BB, 3.69 ERA, 3.42 SIERA
• Max Fried vs. Rays (DK) – 24.6% K, 7.6% BB, 2.63 ERA, 3.73 SIERA
• Shota Imanaga vs. Marlins – 24% K, 5.4% BB, 3.80 ERA, 3.69 SIERA
• Michael King at Dodgers – 20.9% K, 9.2% BB, 3.03 ERA, 4.39 SIERA
• MacKenzie Gore vs. Mets – 23.9% K, 9.6% BB, 4.67 ERA, 4.13 SIERA
• Sean Manaea at Rangers – 22% K, 6.8% BB, 4.74 ERA, 3.92 SIERA

Taj Bradley is my SP1. I actually prefer it to have a pitcher on a team who has been eliminated and has no reason not to just let him pitch his regular workload. Bradley is already has the highest strikeout rate on this slate, even before factoring in the great matchup in San Francisco. He’s gone over 90 pitches in 3 of his last 4 starts, and he went 7 innings in 2 of those starts. The Giants scored a few runs on Zebby Matthews last night, but we still saw 100 pitches and 9 strikeouts, and I think we can hope for that kind of game here but without all the runs. The Giants are as close to a no-power team as you can get, and they will have 4-5 high strikeout bats in the lineup as well. Bradley is a priority play for me on both sites.

The Cubs are out of the division race and almost certain to get a Wild Card, but I’d expect them to be playing full force until they officially nail down that playoff spot. Shota Imanaga has a pretty good matchup to begin with, but…
