Hittin' The Nuts: SquirrelPatrol's NBA DFS Lineup Advice for Tuesday, October 22nd
Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than SquirrelPatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, SquirrelPatrol has accumulated 100+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2 of last season.
We made it. After 4 months and 5 days, we’re back for real NBA action with a 2-game TNT slate starting at 7:30 PM ET. If you’re used to the other DFS sports but not as familiar with basketball, buckle up. In my opinion, there is no sport that fits DFS as well as the nonstop action of basketball, and (for better or worse) there is no sport where research and working on your lineups pays off as much as NBA. If you’re tired of nonstop NFL hamstring injuries, get ready for a wonderful, injury-free NBA slate. We have no major injury news to deal with today, a situation that won’t happen often this season, so we should enjoy that for once.
Let’s sort through the 2 games and figure out what it all means for our DFS lineups.

NBA DFS Picks: Lineup Advice for SquirrelPatrol’s ‘Hittin’ The Nuts’ (Tuesday, October 22)
High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash games and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Jayson Tatum
FanDuel: $9,600, PF/SF
DraftKings: $9,000, SF/PF
The pricing for this first slate is as soft as we’ll see this season, so I plan to spend up for the top stars accordingly. While all four teams have an implied team total between 108.25 and 114.25 points, Boston leads the way as 6-point favorites playing at home against the Knicks. Tatum’s price is cheaper than he was all of last season on both FanDuel and DraftKings, for no logical reason than to let us feel good about our lineups on opening night. Tatum is seeing 65.8% pOWN% on FanDuel and 54.64% pOWN% on DraftKings – high numbers but reasonable considering the discounted price tag.
