What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat the field? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I will be playing single-entry, small-field tournaments. There are six teams on the slate, and four of them have nearly elite defenses. I’m trying to avoid those matchups as much as possible, so my lineup will consist mostly of Rams and Broncos. The only spots I’ll likely venture into those tougher matchups are D/ST, tight end, and perhaps another spot where I see some value.

Stevietpfl: I’ll be making 3 to 5 lineups for small-field tournaments and focusing on a main lineup for single-entry contests. I’m going to be way overweight on the Arizona passing attack. With Marvin Harrison and Greg Dortch ruled out, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson should dominate the targets this weekend. To be different, I’ll be underweight on Puka Nacua and overweight on Davante Adams.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll likely be playing one lineup in single-entry contests. While I’m not totally sure if I want to focus on Jacoby Brissett or Matthew Stafford as my QB, I know I want to stack up this game. The stacking partners are clear for Brissett (Michael Wilson and Trey McBride), and I’ll try to play both Davante Adams and Puka Nacua as well. My alternate route would be the Matthew Stafford side, using Colby Parkinson as a salary saver and skipping out on McBride. However, I like both of these options so much that I might just end up playing two different lineups.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
