OwnersBox NBA DFS Format

What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for the NBA, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. We are getting incredible flexibility for all positions. It consists of 4 guard positions, 4 frontcourt positions, and a superflex. How many days have you wanted to play 5 centers because of the value but have only been limited to 2? OwnersBox is here to give you that fix and allow very creative lineup building. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.

Top NBA DFS Picks for February 2, 2024

Jonathan Kuminga ($5,200)

Outside of statistical analysis, we are seeing head coach Steve Kerr with a commitment to play Kuminga. We have been waiting for this moment, and now we are seeing Kuminga thrive. Over the past few games, he’s played at least 30 minutes, and with those minutes, we have seen incredible production. He’s hit over 40 fantasy points in 3 of the last 4 games, and a matchup against Memphis tonight could open up an opportunity to push this to 4 out of 5. It seems as if with his new role he’s hitting some upside, and we need to play him now before the price catches up.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,400)

SGA is one of the top spends of the night, and he should be. He is facing one of the worst defenses on the slate and is leading the charge as one of the best offensive players in the game. The Thunder should also be without Jalen Williams, which could increase SGA’s opportunity for upside if the game stays close. With Williams off the floor, SGA has seen one of the biggest usage bumps (5.3%) on the Thunder, which increases his usage to 38.52%. This is amazing considering the matchup, and I look for him to dominate tonight.

Kawhi Leonard ($6,500)

There aren’t too many people playing better in the NBA right now than Kawhi. It’s been refreshing to see him continually suit up every game and compete at a high level. We have seen his fantasy production stabilize somewhere in the mid-40s, and he also has that ability to hit some ceiling games in the right circumstances. This spot against the Detroit Pistons gives us the best of both here. We need this game to stay close enough for him to get there. If he does in fact play into the 4th quarter, we could be looking at a huge performance from him. He is a touch too cheap tonight, and I want to take advantage of the pricing here.

Closing Thoughts

We have a fair amount of really good point-per-dollar plays tonight. We need to be taking advantage of this while we can. The pricing will adjust at some point, but until it does, let’s continue to fire away at the best plays. Good luck Grinders!
