Wednesday, March 21st
After a crazy and exciting Tuesday night in the National Hockey League, we slow things down a little on this Wednesday evening with four games on tap. The Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres and St. Louis Blues are your favorites, and the Pittsburgh Penguins are the only team playing on consecutive nights.
GOALTENDER
NOTE: Make sure to check the RotoGrinders Starting Goalies Page prior to game time, to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting.
Casey DeSmith, Pittsburgh Penguins – Regardless of whether you are playing cash games or tournaments this evening, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith should be at the top of your goalie list. The Penguins are by far the biggest favorite on the board tonight, and although the Montreal Canadiens struggle to score goals (sitting 29th overall in goals per game, and 31st overall in goals per game on the road), they continue to fire plenty of pucks on net (averaging 33.3 shots per game, god for eighth overall in the National Hockey League), putting De Smith in a prime spot tonight at the PPG Paints Arena. Look for the Penguins’ young netminder to not only come away with the win, but to also make at least 30 saves in the process.
