Hello Grinders. We had a load 11-game main slate this Sunday. We have Coors Field in play. We have a bunch of pitchers that feel…underpriced? We even have a Shelby Miller sighting. One thing worth mentioning is that on FanDuel and FantasyDraft, they removed HOU/TEX and PHI/COL from the main slate, so it’s a nine-game slate there. With all this in mind, let’s dive in!
Question 1 – What Do We Do With Pitching?
Wow, where do we even begin? On this 11-game main slate, we have 22 starting pitchers to work with. It can be a bit overwhelming for me so let’s try to group them and see if anyone separates themselves from the pack (or if anyone can be crossed off to narrow our player pool). You may not agree with my groupings below, and that’s totally fine! The purpose of this is to group them based on my initial gut feeling and then dig into the data to see if the numbers support their tiered ranking.
