The MLB games are spread all throughout the day on Saturday, August 24th, but we will focus on the later afternoon and evening games for our Underdog Fantasy predictions to maintain longevity for the article. There’s a good mix of pitchers and bats, with Tarik Skubal headlining the top pitchers, and there are multiple offenses hovering around 5 runs in their implied team totals.

First, I’ll break down my favorite Underdog Fantasy MLB plays of the day; then, you can find a few more suggestions (pick only) at the bottom. You can also check out our Underdog Fantasy picks tool. Let’s get to it!

Top Underdog Fantasy MLB Picks Today

Bobby Witt – Higher Than 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Kansas City Royals are my favorite offense of the night, and Bobby Witt is obviously leading the charge every time they take the field. He no longer bats in the lead-off spot, so that helps him pick up RBIs at a higher rate, helping our cause this evening. He projects for 2.71 Hits + Runs + RBIs tonight in the RotoGrinders projections, and we even get a bonus payout of 1.06x with this pick on Underdog Fantasy.

Kyle Schwarber – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

Speaking of bonus payouts, we get another one with this Kyle Schwarber pick on Underdog Fantasy, as he is listed at 1.18x to have higher than 1.5 total bases. He projects for 2.29 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections, and he’s my favorite player to hit a home run. Singer has a crazy high 51.8% hard hit rate to left-handed bats so far this season, and Schwarber has a ridiculous .391 ISO to righties over the last month.

Corey Seager – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

Seager is another player I expect to hit a home run tonight, and having higher than 1.5 total bases is an even easier task. He projects for 2.5 total bases tonight in the RotoGrinders projections and has been absolutely smashing right-handed pitching recently, with a .316 ISO over the course of the last 30 days.
