Vanek's Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Tips for Week 13 WRs
Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming NFL DFS main slate on DraftKings. Formerly of The 33rd Team and 4for4 Fantasy Football, Jordan will do a deep dive into the best ways to attack the wide receiver position to help you climb the leaderboards.
This slate doesn’t feature a standout game in terms of totals, but there are several matchups with healthy totals in competitive environments. The key is identifying recent trends worth buying into and those to avoid. For example, Brian Thomas Jr.‘s recent struggles can be linked to inconsistent quarterback play, but with Trevor Lawrence back, this sets up as a prime bounce-back opportunity for him. Similarly, George Pickens has shown real production with Russell Wilson under center, making this another great week to buy into his strong performance trends.
The small slate will cause ownership to be concentrated more, and our NFL DFS projections and NFL DFS optimizer LineupHQ will keep you updated on how that is lining up.
Now let’s get into my views on the slate.

Vanek’s Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Tips for Week 13 WRs
Stacks
C.J. Stroud ($6,400, QB, Houston Texans)
Nico Collins ($7,900, WR, Houston Texans)
Tank Dell ($5,900, WR, Houston Texans)
Brian Thomas Jr. ($5,500, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars)
The Jaguars have been one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL across nearly every metric, and they already allowed C.J. Stroud to have his best game of the season earlier this year. Against man coverage, there are two key players who will likely see high target volumes, making them strong candidates for a Stroud-centered build in GPPs: Tank Dell and Nico Collins. Both are in prime spots this week. Since Collins’ return, Dell’s performance has improved notably, as he benefits from seeing secondary coverage, which is reflected in his strong separation metrics. This dynamic makes both players appealing options in this matchup.
The Texans’ defense has struggled to defend against big plays, making Brian Thomas Jr. an intriguing option, especially with Trevor Lawrence under center. The Jaguars greatly benefited from their bye week, allowing the team to reset and get healthy. With Thomas now fully recovered and paired with Lawrence, he’s positioned for a breakout performance.
