Revised 2020 PGA Golf Schedule Gives Sports Bettors & DFSers Hope

Sports fans, rejoice! There is light at the end of the tunnel amid the current sports hiatus, so it seems. On Monday, the PGA Tour along with the European Tour, LPGA, PGA of America, The R&A, USGA and Augusta National Golf Club released a revised schedule of events for the 2020 golf season.

The PGA Tour is hopeful to tee off without fans present as early as mid-June for the Memorial Tournament. Despite their efforts, the R&A officially canceled the 2020 Open Championship, but if all goes according to plan, golfers will swing at three of the four major championships starting with the PGA Championship in August, followed by the U.S Open and the Masters later this fall:

• CONFIRMED: August 3-9 – PGA Championship, TPC Harding Park, San Francisco, California
• CONFIRMED: September 14-20 – U.S. Open, Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, New York
• CONFIRMED: November 9-15: the Masters Tournament, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, Georgia

This is good news for the sports betting industry and daily fantasy sports community.

DraftKings will presumably have Millionaire Makers for each major championship, but might they make up for lost time with an additional million-dollar prize on the next PGA DFS slate? One can hope.
