EHafner's Lineup Walkthrough: NFL Week 10

Column Description: Each week EHafner will be breaking down the players he used for his actual lineup (for NFL Thursdays). In addition he’ll be breaking down other picks he considered using that week. This will allow you to follow along with his picks as Sunday’s games unfold, and get in the mind of one of Daily Fantasy’s best! He’ll be rotating the site and game-type each week in his column in order to cover both Head-to-Heads and GPPs across all of the major sites! Here are EHafner’s picks for this week on FanDuel Head-to-Heads, let him know you’re rooting along with him in the comments below!

Starting QB

Philip Rivers – The Chiefs fan in me is ashamed I have so much Phil Rivers this week, but I couldn’t resist. At home and catching up with Peyton puts him in a great spot. I’m pairing Rivers with a bunch of his targets this week.

Other QB play

Seneca Wallace – I haven’t been shy about taking cheap QB’s on FanDuel. I think Wallace should easily cover his 5k salary this week. He’s got nice weapons and the Eagles D is below average. I also believe the week of practice will serve him well.

Starting RBs

Adrian PetersonALL DAY! Take RBs against the Redskins all day. They rank near the bottom defending RBs.

Eddie Lacy – I hopped on the Lacy train about a month ago and haven’t looked back. He’s a lock for 20+ carries and a big chunk of the red zone work.

Other RB plays

Danny Woodhead – If Rivers stinks this week I’m in trouble, I have a lot of his targets throughout the industry. Woodhead is the Chargers pass-catcher out of the backfield and I’m speculating they’ll need to throw a lot.

Matt Forte – Forte’s been an absolute stud this year and players like him are the reason why I’m willing to gamble on a cheap QB. Forte’s matchup proof because he’ll always be involved in the offense due to his pass-catching ability. Getting Cutler back should be a plus as well.

Reggie Bush – All the stuff I said about Forte applies to Reggie as well. My amateur scouting report would say Bush is slightly better at receiving and Forte’s slightly better at running. Hopefully these two trade a couple touchdowns.

Starting WRs

Keenan Allen – When I made this pick I thought Champ Bailey would be coming back too early from his foot injury and he’d be getting burned, instead he’s out and now it’s the backup who gets the honors.
T.Y. Hilton – You know how Harry Douglas shot up when Julio went down? Hilton’s similar to that except Hilton has significantly more talent.

Eric Decker – Here’s my go-to guy on FanDuel. He’s the WR I’ve used the most this year. Most teams can’t handle 3+ viable pass-catchers but Denver is obviously special.

Other WR plays

Andre Johnson – I know there was fuss about Patrick Peterson but I didn’t buy it all the way. A lot of his hype comes from his playmaking ability in the return game and I don’t see him locking up an elite talent like Andre.

Pierre Garcon – The Redskins basically have two targets and I had a good amount of exposure to each. The Vikings have been one of the worst teams in football and Leslie Frazier seems like a good bet to get canned.

Starting TE

Jordan Reed – Only $900 over the minimum price for a guy drawing comparisons to Aaron Hernandez (on the field). Good stuff.

Other TE play

Antonio Gates – I basically shuffled Woodhead/Allen/Gates in my lineups and I never went with all 3 at once. If I remember correctly the only time I considered doing something like that was when Peyton was playing the Jags.

Starting K

Matt Prater – Denver’s offense is good

Other K play

Garrett Hartley – The Saints offense is also good

Starting DEF

Colts – Home game against a bad QB. Zac Stacy scares me a little bit because he’s pretty good, but RB’s aren’t worth much when you’re down by 14+.

Other DEF play

Titans – Don’t underestimate how bad the Jaguars are. Justin Blackmon gave them a glimmer of hope this year but now he’s in rehab. What’s Tim Tebow up to nowadays?
