Happy Tuesday!

I hope everyone started their week off with a nice little win in NBA DFS last night. We have an unusually large NBA slate for a Tuesday night. The good news is that both FanDuel and DraftKings have decided to leave the last 2 games off of their main slates, which means we only have 8 games to break down.

As mentioned yesterday, this is one of the best golf tournaments of the year. The WM Phoenix Open should be a ton of fun to both watch and sweat. With some ideas from ChatGPT and a lot of late-night hours, I have revamped my entire PGA DFS model. It’s going to be free for everyone this week if you want to check it out.

Let’s dive into tonight’s 8-game slate.

Team Previews

Brunson of the Knicks

New York Knicks (at WAS)

We kick off tonight’s 8-game slate with the Knicks, who draw the second-best matchup on the slate. The Wizards are 6th in pace and 29th in points allowed per game. New York enters the game with a team total of 121 points, which is 3 points higher than their season average. Mitchell Robinson and Miles McBride are both out.

Jalen Brunson has struggled over the last couple of weeks, but this is as good of a get-right spot as you are going to find. Even better, his price has come down on both FanDuel and DraftKings. Centers against the Wizards have been a cheat code in DFS this season. If Myles Turner can top 50 fantasy points against Washington, Karl-Anthony Towns can too. KAT should also see a boost with Robinson out, as he has averaged 48 fantasy points in the 12 games Robinson has missed this season. Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and OG Anunoby aren’t priorities for me, but they are all viable in large-field tournaments.

Washington Wizards (vs. NYK)

The Wizards have actually been a fun team to target in DFS over the last few weeks. They have had a more condensed rotation and have been more competitive. However, they have a tough matchup against the Knicks, who are 23rd in pace and 7th in points allowed per game. Cam Whitmore, Tristan Vukcevic, Trae Young, and Tre Johnson are all out.

The Wizards don’t project well in the context of tonight’s slate, but there are a few intriguing targets here. Kyshawn George has regularly seen a usage rate above 30% and has flashed a few ceiling performances recently. Alex Sarr is finally seeing a full allotment of minutes. He has logged 36 or more minutes in 3 of the last 5 games and brings 50+ fantasy point upside to the table. And finally, Bub Carrington should see minutes in the low to mid-30s with Johnson and Young both out.
