The Milwaukee Bucks and Brookly Nets will clash tonight at the Barclays Center. Though this could be an Eastern Conference Finals preview, NBA bettors will not get a true evaluation of each of these rosters with so many missing pieces. Milwaukee has already ruled out Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton, DeMarcus Cousins, Donte DiVincenzo, George Hill, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez. Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris will be on the sidelines for Brooklyn in this one. We’ve already taken a look at Bucks vs. Nets odds, but, with so many missing pieces for both teams, there are also some great opportunities for bettors to exploit the NBA player props market.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at some of our favorite props for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Bobby Portis, and James Harden!
Bucks vs. Nets NBA Player Prop Bets
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 41.5 points + rebounds (-120)
PrizePicks: O/U 30.5 points
PrizePicks: O/U 11.5 rebounds
Per EdgHouse, Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored 31 points or more in four of his last five games played. Considering that this contest has the highest total on the market this evening, Antetokounmpo should have plenty of opportunities to eclipse this number once again when facing a Brooklyn defense that ranks 18th in the NBA in defensive efficiency over their last 10 games. Antetokounmpo has gone over this points + rebounds number in three of his last five games, with three of those games resulting in at least 45 points + rebounds. This is another strong spot to buy stock in the two-time Most Valuable Player.
Bobby Portis o22.5 points + rebounds (-115)
PrizePicks: O/U 14.5 points
PrizePicks: O/U 7.5 rebounds
As we mentioned in our game preview for tonight’s battle between the Bucks and Nets, Bobby Portis is likely to be a primary beneficiary of Milwaukee’s absences in this one. Even when the Bucks have been at full strength, this has been an approachable number for Portis–who has eclipsed this total in 17 of his 31 games played this year. Missing Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton, and Jrue Holiday, Portis figures to have an expanded role within the offense. This could be an easy cash for bettors if Portis has a strong shooting night from the field.
Kevin Durant Over 30.5 points (-110)
PrizePicks: O/U 30.5 points
Kevin Durant is firmly entrenched in the MVP discussions right now, and for good reason. On the year, Durant is leading the NBA in scoring at 30.0 points per game. He also ranks sixth in player efficiency rating. Over Brooklyn’s last 10 games, they have been playing at a pace of 100.26 possessions per contest, which ranks 9th in the league during that span. Milwaukee has played even quicker in their last 10 trips to the floor. Bettors should expect a lot of possessions in this one, and for Durant to have a healthy amount of scoring opportunities against a Milwaukee defense that has struggled mightily without Jrue Holiday on the court this season.
James Harden Over 36.5 points + assists (-104)
PrizePicks: O/U 25.5 points
PrizePicks: O/U 10.5 assists
James Harden struggled mightily to begin the campaign, but he has been playing exceptional basketball of late. Per EdgHouse, in Harden’s last six games, he has eclipsed this number four times. Harden went under this number on January 3 against a strong Memphis Grizzlies defense. He also went under this number on January 5 in “(player-popup #kyrie-irving)Kyrie Irving”:/players/kyrie-irving-13334’s return to the floor. Irving is ineligible to play in this one, which means that Harden should have plenty of usage tonight against a Bucks defense that is below league average without Jrue Holiday on the court.
