The Philadelphia Eagles will visit the Washington Commanders in a Week 8 Sunday Night Football battle of injury-ravaged rosters.

Kickoff from Northwest Stadium is set for 8:20 pm ET on NBC.

The NFL odds for this matchup have the Commanders favored by 6 points ahead of kickoff – a significant market adjustment after Philadelphia opened as 2.5-point favorites for this game back in August.

The absence of Jalen Hurts and other key members of the Philadelphia offense has also contributed to the total for this game falling to over/under 40.5 points after being set at 46.5 points back in August.

Below, you can find three of my favorite player props for Eagles vs. Commanders!

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 PM ET on Sunday, November 1st:

Dallas Goedert OVER 4.5 Receptions (-140, BetMGM)

Goedert played through some nagging injuries last week against Dallas, but he appears to be in better health coming into Week 8 after being a full participant at each of the team’s practice sessions this week.

Goedert has played 2 games with DeVonta Smith inactive this season, and Goedert led the Eagles in target% (22.9%) and first-read targets (13) in those contests. He’s been a frequent target near the line of scrimmage for backup quarterback Tanner McKee, averaging an anemic 3.8 aDOT.

Expect Goedert to continue to see plenty of opportunities this weekend against a Washington defense that ranks 32nd in DVOA against opposing tight ends in 2026.

Elijah Mitchell OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+614, Novig)

Mitchell played 14 snaps in Week 7 against the Cowboys, and he could see an even bigger workload in Week 8 with Dameon Pierce joining Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley on injured reserve.

Saquon Barkley is expected to play on Sunday Night Football, but Barkley exited last week’s game multiple times as he tried to play through a bothersome hamstring injury. He also picked up a back injury in that contest, attributing the ailment to trying to overcompensate for his hamstring.

There is a very realistic chance that Mitchell sees meaningful opportunities in this matchup against an injury-depleted Washington defensive line.

Jaydon Blue OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+1000, FanDuel)

If we are taking exposure to backup Philadelphia running backs against Washington, we might as well take a stab on Jaydon Blue too.

Blue was signed to the Eagles practice squad in September as a depth option behind Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, Tank Bigsby, and Dameon Pierce. Three of those running backs are now on injured reserve, and Barkley is far from full strength.

Blue ran a 4.38 at the NFL Combine, which was the 2nd-fastest time of 24 running backs who recorded a time, trailing only Bhayshul Tuten, who ran a 4.32.

Mitchell is more experienced than Blue, but Blue is only 22 years old and could conceivably be a part of Philadelphia’s plans beyond this season if he performs well. It wouldn’t be overly shocking to see Blue get meaningful snaps if Barkley is once again on a pitch count.
