In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the Buccaneers vs. Chiefs game and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.

PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. The Chiefs passing offense hasn’t looked anywhere close to what we’re used to seeing from them this season, but a matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass funnel should be exactly what the doctor ordered. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s offense has been elite the past 2 seasons, but they’re now without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. However, the injuries for the Buccaneers and new additions for the Chiefs make this game a fun one for NFL PrizePicks predictions.

DeAndre Hopkins MORE/LESS 44.5 Receiving Yards

Hopkins had 2 receptions for 29 yards on 3 targets in his first game alongside Patrick Mahomes as he was slowly integrated into the offense on his new team. This week, he should be more involved, and they’ll also be without Juju Smith-Schuster, who has recently come alive as their top receiver outside of Travis Kelce. Hopkins projects for 52.06 receiving yards in the RotoGrinders projections and this pick has a 55.07% success rate in the NFL Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks.

Rachaad White MORE/LESS 23.5 Receiving Yards

There’s no doubt that Rachaad White‘s role has decreased in the Tampa Bay offense as a runner with Bucky Irving leading the charge, but without Evans, and in particular, Godwin catching screen passes from the slot, White is much more involved in the passing game. He projects for 31.7 receiving yards in the RotoGrinders projections, and he’s coming off a game where he had 5 receptions for 38 yards against the Falcons.

Cade Otton MORE/LESS 54.5 Receiving Yards

It’s only been a sample size of a game and a half, but without Godwin or Evans on the field, Otton becomes Baker Mayfield‘s favorite target. He projects for only 49.56 receiving yards in the RotoGrinders projections, but I think that’s far too low. Otton caught 9 of his 10 targets last game against the Falcons for a whopping 81 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he should be heavily involved once again versus a Chiefs team that has struggled against tight ends.
