In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the Buccaneers vs. Falcons and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.

PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. Tonight’s game in Atlanta is interesting. Vegas’ total is low on the short week, but it is in a dome and RotoGrinders has both teams attacking in a fairly balanced manner for decent yardage on both sides. We’re looking at those yardage totals in this space today, but we never rule out kickers for field goals on Thursdays if we’re playing a higher volume.

Kirk Cousins MORE/LESS 249.5 Pass Yards (DEMON)

Kirk Cousins hasn’t thrown much in this run-first offense. He’s thrown more than 29 times just once and hasn’t cracked 250 passing yards yet, but RotoGrinders projections have the Falcons airing it out a bit more tonight for 249.8 passing yards over nearly 35 attempts. Vegas only has this game’s total at 43.5, but the spread is super tight at just 1.5 in favor of Atlanta, so we won’t expect the Falcons to have the luxury of deflating the ball in a competitive game. More importantly, 249.5 is a fairly low passing total for a DEMON projection, so we should attack it with a decent passer outside of a blowout.

Drake London MORE/LESS 69.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON)

When Cousins has good games, he tends to bring a receiver with him. We’ve seen Darnell Mooney get 24 targets and Ray-Ray McCloud in the mix for 22, but Drake London still leads this team with 31 — including 21 over the last 2 games. The Falcons are projected to throw a bit more, he’s getting a huge target share, and his aDOT is over 10, so RotoGrinders has him projected for 73.4 receiving yards on the night.

Chris Godwin MORE/LESS 79.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON)

I think we should play Chris Godwin and Mike Evans in separate contests, but if we’re only playing one of the two, RotoGrinders has Godwin projected for 79.2 receiving yards to Evans’ 73.6. Godwin’s just been so consistent for targets — seeing 9, 9, 8, and 8 in the 4 games this season — whereas Evans has only seen more than 6 once.
