NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, October 19

Moneyball16: Macklin Celebrini
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in large-field tournaments?
Moneyball16: Auston Matthews
Joda: Auston Matthews
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: As per usual on smaller slates, I like stacking goalie with forward stacks more than on a bigger slate. Also, I will probably be underweight on Nathan MacKinnon and Macklin Celebrini. They are both fine plays any night of the week, but the biggest issue is that it is hard to find good stacks with them. Both of MacKinnon’s linemates were on the 2nd power-play unit last game. Celebrini’s running mate Will Smith is overpriced, and everyone else on the team doesn’t correlate very well.
Joda: As much as I like Nathan MacKinnon tonight, taking him and his linemates leaves you spread too thin, both for price and correlation. With only 4 games on the slate, those lineups likely gravitate toward the same cheap line or value plays. I find myself building more full line stacks than usual.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
