Slate Overview
Happy Saturday Grinders! We have officially reached April in the NHL regular season. There is only a week or so left before the regular season ends. I would like to say thank you to all of you that have read this article throughout the season. It really has been fun for me to write about NHL DFS and hope to continue to improve this article in the seasons to come. We have a huge eleven-game slate to break down, so let’s get right to it.
The first thing that jumps off the page for me is are the two mouth-watering matchups. One being the Florida Panthers against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the other being the Edmonton Oilers against the Anaheim Ducks. Vegas agrees with me since these are two of the three teams with implied totals over 4.00. The Oilers are currently sitting with an implied team total over 4.6. I know it’s baseball season now, so I’ll just say that’s Coors Field in July numbers. What you do or don’t do with Edmonton will likely determine the outcome of this slate. I expect their ownership to be really quite high and on an eleven-game slate, that can be a little worrisome. In cash games, you’re certainly plugging in Connor McDavid and Evan Bouchard and perhaps one more Edmonton skater. However, in tournaments, there are other places to look. Let’s break down some top skaters and values that don’t play for Edmonton.
