Slate Overview
Happy Saturday Grinders! We have an 8-game slate to break down. The Blue Jackets, Oilers, and Jets are playing their second game in two nights. In terms of injuries, it’s seems to be all the big names are available. Filip Forsberg and Pierre-Luc Dubois seem to be the only questionable players worth noting. Both Aleksander Barkov and Sam Bennett are returning for tonight’s game according to the coaching staff. As always, make sure to head over to NHL Discord channel for the most up to date news and notes regarding all things NHL DFS.
When looking at this slate from a macro perspective, I notice immediately the presence of Connor McDavid. He is a player that is simply in a league of his own. He continues to put up monster fantasy outings. He puts up so many raw points that it is tough to win a slate without rostering him. Of course in GPP’s you can fade whomever you want whenever you want, but if you are a cash game player, you must start your team with him and just start filling in with value pieces elsewhere. He is the top skater on the slate. Below, I will break down some other options to consider for tournaments if you want to fade the best player in the world.
