What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for the NFL, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. Straightforward football builds. No kickers, no defenses, just the position players that get it done for us week in and week out. Did I mention there was a Superflex?! Yes, we have the ability to play two quarterbacks in the format over at OwnersBox. It consists of the following positions: QB, RB x2, WR x2, TE, Flex x2, and the Superflex, which could be a QB/RB/WR/TE. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.
Top NFL DFS Picks for Super Bowl 58
Isiah Pacheco ($6,300)
As the Kansas City Chiefs have progressed through the end of the season and into the playoffs, we have seen Pacheco take over this backfield. It also helps that Jerick McKinnon has been out with an injury, and according to Coach Reid, is unlikely to play in the Big Game. Clyde Edwards-Helaire isn’t nearly as involved in this backfield as we all anticipated, and Pacheco has continued to lead in receiving and carries. I don’t think that the game plan changes in the biggest game of the season, and it looks as if they will be riding their workhorse to the finish line. Look for big things from Pacheco, as I think the Chiefs look to get him involved frequently in the game plan.
Rashee Rice ($5,200)
Mr. Rice is feeling like the best value on this 1-game slate on OwnersBox. Despite the fact that he’s picking up virtually more targets than anyone in the offense and everyone in the 49ers offense, he’s still priced below all of those players. He feels like the slam dunk of this slate, and I may in fact be going all in with him. He’s for sure Patrick Mahomes’ #1 target in the wide receiver room, and it has continued to show itself as the season has progressed. I do think the Chiefs will need to put up a few more points than they did in the Ravens game, and Rice should be a focal point. He’s on the field, he’s getting the work, and the production should follow in the Big Game.
Brock Purdy ($6,800)
I am expecting the 49ers to play from behind in this game at certain points, as I think Kanas City will be in control of most of the game. That will yield to the passing game of the 49ers coming to the forefront. As a result, I want to plug in Purdy here. If he has to air it out, the fantasy points should follow as he tries to keep up with Mahomes on the other side. We have seen Purdy be able to put up reasonable fantasy performances almost all season, and in the playoffs, he’s had to be one of the reasons this team has been able to leave with a victory. In my estimation, he’s going to have to have a big game for this team to have a chance, and I think he will be able to put up just enough to keep him optimal for a GPP takedown.
