Each day, one of our NHL experts will be providing recommended player picks for your daily fantasy hockey lineups. The goal is to help you build the optimal cash game (50/50s/double-ups/head-to-head) lineup.

Monday, April 2nd

As we enter the last week of the National Hockey League regular season, we kick it off with a solid six-game slate. The Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings and the Winnipeg Jets are tonight’s biggest favorites, and we have two teams (Washington Capitals and the Los Angeles Kings) playing on consecutive nights.

Curtis McElhinney, Toronto Maple Leafs – The Toronto Maple Leafs are a massive favorite tonight on home ice as they host a Buffalo Sabres team that struggles to both win games and score goals (dead last in the National Hockey League in goals per game), putting Curtis McElhinney at the top of my list tonight in all formats. McElhinney has been sensational backing up starter Frederik Andersen this season, posting a 2.15 GAA, a .933 SV% and 3 shutouts, and I think we see another strong performance from him tonight at the Air Canada Centre. McElhinney is a cash game lock, and with the Maple Leafs’ style of play, he should see enough shots to be GPP relevant as well.
