Welcome back, everyone! It was a very restful All-Star Break and some much-needed time away from the DFS streets, but I’m ready to get back into action with a large slate of games for Friday, July 19th. Coors Field looks like the top spot for bats, but the Phillies, Reds, and Royals are all in very nice positions for hitting as well. MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today

Gerrit Cole – Less Than 39.5 Fantasy Points

While he looked much better in his last game, 39.5 fantasy points is still a pretty hefty projection for Gerrit Cole. He projects for only 33.3 fantasy points in the RotoGrinders projections, and this pick has a whopping 65.34% win rate in the MLB Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks, the highest on the entire slate. The Rays lineup does feature quite a few strikeouts, which is worrisome, but the differential between the RotoGrinders and PrizePicks projections for Cole is too good to pass up.

Martin Perez – Less Than 16.5 Pitching Outs

Although Martin Perez seems to annoyingly not get shelled very often in DFS despite his poor stats, he also isn’t someone I worry about going too deep into a game against a really good offense like the Philadelphia Phillies. This pick has a 59.14% win rate in the MLB Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks, and the Phillies projected lineup boasts seven bats with an ISO of at least .183. It should be a tough night for Perez against one of the best teams in baseball.

Ezequiel Tovar – More Than 1.5 Total Bases

It’s always nice when PrizePicks doesn’t price up players based on playing in Coors, and that seems like the case tonight. Even without considering elevation, it’s a nice spot for Tovar against a left-handed pitcher in Kyle Harrison, who has only struck out 17.5% of righties while giving up a 51.6% hard-hit rate this season. Harrison gets as big of a park downgrade as possible going from San Francisco to Colorado, and Tovar projects for 2.1 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections. It’s about as nice of a combo as we could hope for.
