There are a massive 16 games on the MLB DFS Slate for Saturday, August 10th, with every single team in action and the Yankees and Rangers playing a doubleheader. For longevity purposes, we will focus primarily on the later slate of games for our Underdog MLB predictions, but there are still plenty to choose from. The Cubs and Braves rate out as the top offenses on the board by an incredibly wide margin, while there is a ton of really strong pitching options as well.
First, I’ll break down my favorite Underdog Fantasy MLB plays of the day; then, you can find a few more suggestions (pick only) at the bottom. You can also check out our Underdog Fantasy picks tool. Let’s get to it!
Top Underdog Fantasy MLB Picks Today
Ian Happ – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
Ian Happ has quietly been the Cubs’ best bat all season long (outside of maybe Seiya Suzuki). They draw a phenomenal matchup against Chris Flexen and the White Sox in one of the best parks for bats in all of the MLB. Happ projects for 2.27 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections and has a great chance to send one out of the park against Flexen and his .273 ISO to left-handed bats this season. To sweeten things even more, Happ has an extra multiplier attached to this pick on Underdog.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
Seiya Suzuki – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
Speaking of Cubs in fantastic spots, Seiya Suzuki’s fly balls are one of my favorite things to target in small ballparks. He’s got a .260 ISO against right-handed pitching over the past month, and Chris Flexen actually has a higher hard-hit rate to right-handed bats at 45.5%. Suzuki projects for 2.38 bases tonight in the RotoGrinders projections and is in a great spot to hit a home run against Flexen.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
Austin Riley – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
The final player for Total Bases day on Underdog is arguably the top bat of the entire evening, Austin Riley. He projects for a massive 2.6 total bases in the RotoGrinders projections, and the Braves have by far the highest implied team total on the board against the Rockies in Coors. He’s been red hot recently, and he’s in one of the best spots imaginable tonight. He should only be listed at 2.5 total bases as a pick’em play on Underdog, but since 1.5 total bases is available, we have to capitalize.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
