For a supposedly medieval business, Daily Joust has just announced another innovative tournament: The Kings’ Crown. Every Friday you can compete in a $10 weekly qualifier to earn a spot to dual over the five-figure prizepool in the finals. King’s Crown MLB – Contest Info
The King’s Crown boasts a $12,000 prizepool. That’s a lot of gold coins to stuff in your chain-mail. King’s Crown weekly qualifiers will be run every Friday starting tonight and ending September 7th. 12 Jousters will qualify for he $12,000 prize tournament being held on September 14th, 2012.
Each weekly qualifier is a $10 buy-in tournament with multiple-entries allowed. The 1st place finisher in each qualifier earns a seat in the Sept 14th, $12,000 King’s Crown tournament. In the event of a tie for first place, normal Daily Joust tie-breaker rules apply. If a tie still persists, a playoff will occur to determine the winner.

Prizepool and Structure
The weekly qualifiers are $10 buy-in, multiple entry events. The first place finisher each week will advance to the King’s Crown finals (using DJ standard tie-breaking rules), and 2nd-21st place will earn their $10 back ($200 in cash paid out per week). The 12 worthy knights who make the King’s Crown finals, will be awarded as follows:

There will be two qualifying periods for RotoGrinders to win a seat in the King’s Crown finals, and each has it’s own unique twist. Five members will qualify for each period, then the winner of each of the two brackets will square-off head-to-head for the seat, testing their challenges in a variety of Daily Joust Games! RG Qualifier #1 – Winnings
Qualifying Period: Friday July 13th – Wednesday August 8th
How to Qualify: Top 5 Grinders based on Total DJ WINNINGS will be entered into a freeroll to take place on Friday, August 10th. The winner moves on to the RotoGrinders head-to-head Kings Crown qualifier final on September 12th. You must be a RotoGrinders member before July 13th to be eligible to compete in this qualifying round.
RG Qualifier #2 – Wins
Qualifying Period: Thursday August 9th – Friday September 7th 9th (extend for NFL Season!)
How to Qualify: Top 5 Grinders based on Total DJ WINS will be entered into a freeroll to take place on Monday, September 10th. The winner moves on to the RotoGrinders head-to-head Kings Crown qualifier final on September 12th. You must be a RotoGrinders member before August 9th to be eligible to compete in this qualifying round.
RG King’s Crown Head-to-Head Finals (Best of Three)
Date: Wednesday Sept 12th (for all 3 events)
How it Will Go Down: The winner of each Qualifying Freeroll above, will then Joust each other in 3 separate heads up contests:
- 1) 900K Salary Pool
- 2) 1 Million Salary Pool
- 3) 1.0 Million Salary Pool (No Stack Rules – no more than 3 players per team including the starting pitcher)
Best 2 out of 3 will declare the victor, who will earn 1 of the 12 seats available for the $12,000 prize King’s Crown contest on Friday September 14th! RotoGrinders will be posting weekly updates of the Top 5 Grinders for each qualifier once the first qualifier gets underway. Best of luck!
Notes:
1 – A Grinder can qualify for both freerolls, thus canceling the head-to-head final if they were to win both freerolls.
2 – A Grinder can also qualify by winning a Kings Crown qualifier that will be run every Friday on Daily Joust.
