2017 DFS Rankings Review: July Edition

The year is half over, but the race for the RotoGrinders Tournament Player of the Year is far from over, and it’s awesemo who continues to lead the way. The current top-ranked player took some time to answer some questions for us earlier this week. Read the interview with awesemo to learn more about the man behind the top ranking.

As has been the case all year, the top five remains unchanged, as ChipotleAddict, youdacao, scout326, and papagates round out the top five. Shawnzhan made a huge move in the standings, climbing 15 spots to #18 while mrtuttle05 and mbomb44 are both in danger of dropping out of the top 25, as they both dropped 5 spots to #24 and #25 respectively.

He’s losing ground to the likes of youdacao, ChipotleAddict, and awesemo, but saahilsud continues to hold tight on the top spot of the Superheavyweight Tier leaderboard. The only player in the top 25 to move more than two spots was theclone, who dropped three to #19.

ocdobv continues to hold the top spot on the Heavyweight leaderboard, with RG contributors boggslite (#4) and squirrelpatrol (#6) both holding strong in the top 10. DollarBill makes his debut in this tier, moving up from a lower weight class (where he was #1) and enters the rankings here at #7. affihq joins him as a new member at #9. Those two entering caused a downward shift of 2-3 spots for the rest of the top 25, as exhibited by all the red down arrows.

He was #1 in the Welterweight class and despite moving to a higher buy-in tier, anilprao88 remains at the top of the leaderboard, this time in the Middleweight Tier. Getchia also debuts in this tier, coming in at #12, while the rest of the tier saw slight upward movement due to DollarBill and affihq moving up a tier.

Everyone moves up a spot in the Welterweight Tier with anilprao88 leaving, which moves CZYX up to the #1 spot, a position he held for quite some time in the Bantamweight Tier. Chad001 leaves the #1 spot in the Bantamweight Tier and debuts at #12 and BlakeL34 joins him at #15. Those two entering the rankings caused a downward shift at the bottom of the top 25 but nothing severe.

A lot of green up one arrows below, due to the previous leader leaving the Tier and it’s shipper21 who is the new #1. Thechamp is the lone new member of the tier, as he debuts at #18, while king_of_all_dfs tries to make good on his name as he climbs five spots to #22.

Finally a tier leaderboard with no change as the top three remains the same with kratom continuing to pace the pack in the Flyweight Tier. rpaulsen518 is the big mover of the week climbing five spots to #19 while younggun moves in the opposite direction, dropping four spots to #20.
