Pitcher Grind Down
- Tanner Roark – Roark has been much better at home than he has been away on the season, but is a decent mid-tiered option today against the Mariners. Roark has an overall 2.81 ERA and very good 1.09 WHIP on the year. The win will be tough as Iwakuma has been on fire, but the game does feature a 6’ total. Roark makes a good multi-pitcher option. Rating = 7
Salaries: $7500 FD, $15650 DD, $8500 DK, $NA FF, $21900 SS, $15800 FTD
- Hisashi Iwakuma – Iwakuma struggled in his last start, but prior, had been on fire with 2 earned runs in his last 4 starts. During that span he had pitched 29.1 innnings and struck out 21 batters. He had also only walked 4 batters during that span. He now gets to take on the Nationals as a big favorite and the lowest total on the day. He is one of my favorite cash game options. Rating = 8
Salaries: $9200 FD, $19600 DD, $10500 DK, $ FF, $31200 SS, $20950 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Washington
I think this is a 2-1 game here today. Avoid the bats.
Seattle
I think Roark pitches well too. Avoid the bats.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jorge De La Rosa – De La Rosa has actually not pitched terribly lately. He rarely goes deep into games and has a very low strike out rate. Due to these factors and the hitters park, he is an easy avoid. Rating = 4
Salaries: $6900 FD, $12850 DD, $6500 DK, $NA FF, $18200 SS, $12950 FTD
- Chase Anderson – Chase is another example of a guy that has not been terrible, but has not been fantasy acceptable either. He is very similar to De La Rosa as he rarely goes passed 6 innings or 5 strikeouts. Both of these guys are easy avoids. Rating = 4
Salaries: $6300 FD, $12350 DD, $6300 DK, $ FF, $18500 SS, $12500 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Colorado
Charlie Blackmon – Blackmon should be in the leadoff spot today and continues to be consistent even though he is not crushing the ball like he was earlier in the season. His price is cheap and should be in line to score a few runs today.
Additional Plays: Corey Dickerson
Arizona
Mark Trumbo – Trumbo is leading this offense right now and is has a wOBA of .361 against LH pitching. This game should feature some runs today and Trumbo should be in the iddle of it.
Additional Plays: Aaron Hill

Pitcher Grind Down
- Hyun-Jin Ryu – Ryu wins the matchup lottery today as he gets to face the Padres. Ryu has faced this Padres team 3 times and has a 0.47 ERA against them. During those 3 starts, he has 19 strike outs in 19 innings and is my top cash game option today. Rating = 8
Salaries: $8400 FD, $17600 DD, $10200 DK, $NA FF, $22100 SS, $17600 FTD
- Eric Stults – Stults has been bad all season regardless of pitching in Petco or not. He will now have to take on the Dodgers who have a lot of good RH bats that should be able to get to him early. Avoid Stults today. Rating = 3
Salaries: $6100 FD, $11100 DD, $7000 DK, $ FF, $15700 SS, $11300 FTD

LA Dodgers
Yasiel Puig – Puig has really struggled recently which has dropped his price to a place where we have not seen it this year. This makes me want to play him in cash games today as I feel like the matchup is too good to pass up.
Additional Plays: Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez
San Diego
Playing Padres bats in Petco is never a good option.
Miami at Atlanta

Pitcher Grind Down
- Nathan Eovaldi – Eovaldi has really struggled since the All-Star break and has a 6.11 ERA in that span. He has been crushed by lefties all year and it will be tough to pitch around the two big ones that Atlanta has. Avoid him today. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5800 FD, $12100 DD, $6400 DK, $NA FF, $17100 SS, $12500 FTD
- Alex Wood – Wood has pitched well for the Braves this year and has a 3.09 ERA and nice 1.18 WHIP. He now takes on the Marlins in a game with a low total and he is a heavy favorite. I think if he can pitch around Stanton, he will make a decent mid-tiered option. Rating = 6
Salaries: $7900 FD, $15850 DD, $8900 DK, $ FF, $19600 SS, $15750 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Miami
Giancarlo Stanton – He is expensive, but he is an absolute stud. He has crushed lefties for a wOBA of .461 and makes a great play if you can fit him in today.
Atlanta
Freddie Freeman – Freeman has a wOBA of .389 against RH pitching and Eovaldi gets hit hard against lefties. He is a great wOBA option on the day and a top player at the first base position.
Additional Plays: Jason Heyward

Pitcher Grind Down
- T.J. House – House has been roughed up a bit latley and now has to take on the Royals who are really trying to make this playoff push. I am going to avoid him and his 4+ ERA today. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5700 FD, $9400 DD, $5800 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $9400 FTD
- Danny Duffy – Duffy is a huge favorite today against the Indians and he has pitched very well. He has allowed 1 earned run or less in 7 of his last 9 starts including a 7 inning 0 earned run, 7 strike out performance against this Indians squad. He joins the list of good mid-tiered options. Rating = 7
Salaries: $7200 FD, $12050 DD, $7500 DK, $ FF, $18200 SS, $11950 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Cleveland
Jose Ramirez – Ramirez makes the list as a good option as he is so cheap, hits second in the order and has been hitting the ball well recently (9/25, 3 XBHs)
Kansas City
Salvador Perez -Perez makes a good play as he is cheap and will be taking on House who has allowed a wOBA of .384 against RH bats.
Additional Plays: Billy Butler, Omar Infante, Alex Gordon
