NBA Grind Down: Wednesday, November 13th - Page 3
Brooklyn at Sacramento

Brooklyn
It’s always interesting to see which style of play Vegas uses to determine the over/under in these types of games. The Nets are a very slow paced team and the Kings like to get into those up and down shootouts. Vegas has this total listed at 195 so they expect the Nets to establish their tempo in this one.
The Nets have been an awful team for fantasy purposes. While Brook Lopez has been the one bright spot, I’m just not paying that much for him when he has 4 other players on his team that could all take over offensively. While the matchup lines up well for the Nets, I will continue to fade them in cash games.
Sacramento
The Kings have been a very inconsistent bunch this season. They have really only had two viable fantasy options with DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas, but you never know which Cousins is going to show up and Thomas is still coming off of the bench.
One situation to monitor before tipoff is the starting PG. There are rumors that Ben McLemore could get the start over Greivis Vasquez. If that’s the case, now is the time to buy low on McLemore. He is close to minimum salary across the board so check the player news throughout the day and get him in there if he gets the start.
Oklahoma City at L.A.Clippers

Oklahoma City
This should be an extremely fun game to watch and it is filled with viable fantasy options. Both of these teams rank in the top 10 in points per game and I expect both teams to score over 100 points tonight. I am still a bit weary about Russell Westbrook, I am treating him the same way that I have treated Derrick Rose. Until he can get his shooting % up, why take the risk with him? There are much better options in the same price range.
Kendrick Perkins will miss tonight’s game which means Steven Adams will get the start at Center. He has shown some real promise in limited minutes this season and makes a nice value play tonight.
Players to Target
- Kevin Durant – Even though the Clippers are ranked 5th against opposing SF’s, it’s not thanks to the defense of Dudley. Durant has a huge advantage in this offense and should see plenty of field goal attempts if Westbrook’s shots still aren’t falling. He has the potential to top 50 FP’s in this one.
L.A.Clippers
The Clippers are the highest scoring team in the league at 109 points per game and Chris Paul leads the league in touches per game at 103. That is a nice combo and is a big reason why CP3 has been able to put up such big fantasy performances. While CP3 has been playing great, I think that he is priced a little too high for a below average matchup. I do like both big men in this matchup though.
Players to Target
- Blake Griffin – Griffin has scored over 30 FP’s in every single game this season except for the opener. He has been a very consistent player that has great upside in this matchup. Ibaka just hasn’t been the dominant defender that he has been in the past and Griffin gets most of his points in transition and in the pick and roll game.
