CLEVELAND BROWNS

The Browns were leading 17-7 at half time last week and then fell apart in the 2nd half, eventually falling 31-17 to the Lions. Detroit took advantage of two brutal INTs by Brandon Weeden. CLE will travel to Lambeau field to face the Packers in week 7.

Fantasy Relevant

QB – The Packers defense is ranked 25th against the QB allowing 20.8 FPPG and they have been decimated by injuries. However can you really trust Brandon Weeden? He could be a sneaky GPP play.

RBsWillis McGahee disappointed a lot of fantasy owners last week with an ugly performance, and it appears he is no longer the #1 back. Chris Ogbonnaya had 7 receptions on 12 targets for 61 yards and 1 TD last week. GPP players take note.

ReceivingJosh Gordon has the 3rd most FPPG at WR since week 3. GB has allowed the 3rd most pass plays of 15+ yards. Tight end Jordan Cameron has been solid this year, and should have a big game. The Packers are ranked 29th VS the TE allowing 15.2 FPPG.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Fantasy Relevant

The Ravens did a great job pressuring Rodgers most of the game, but he did just enough to get the win. Crosby kicked 4 field goals, Lacy rushed for 120 yards and Nelson had 113 yards with a TD. The Packers were dealt another injury blow with Cobb breaking his leg. They will host Cleveland at Lambeau field in week 7.

QB – In his last 3 games Aaron Rodgers is averaging 277.6 YPG with 3 TDs and 3 INTs, and is now without Randall Cobb. The Browns are allowing the 6th lowest QB rating at 74.1.

RBsEddie Lacy has averaged 110 yards rushing in his last two games. The Browns are ranked 20th VS the RB allowing 21.1 FPPG.

ReceivingJordy Nelson should see more targets with Cobb out, but this might not be the week to buy him with Joe Haden likely shadowing him. I think Jermichael Finley sees double digit targets this week, he is a great GPP play.

James Jones looks like a game time decision. If he is active you have to wonder how many snaps he will see and will he be effective. If he does not play, that would make Jarrett Boykin a WR2. Boykin struggled last week playing in 58 snaps, but with a full week of practice he could be a sneaky GPP play.

DENVER BRONCOS

The Broncos moved to 6-0 with an uninspiring win over the Jags in week 6. Other than Moreno the Broncos were a huge fantasy disappointment. Manning threw for just 277 yards while no receiver topped 78 yards. They will face the Colts in week 7 in what should be the game of the week.

Fantasy Relevant

QB – I would imagine Peyton will be up for this one, returning to Indy for the first time. Indy is ranked 5th in pass defense and are allowing the 5th lowest FPPG to the QB. I think you can throw out all those numbers in this case. Peyton will put up big numbers.

RBs – Moreno is 2nd in the league with 7 TDs. The Colts are allowing 4.6 YPG, 6th highest.

Receiving – All the Broncos receivers are in play. Wes Welker leads WRs in TDs with 8 and has the most red zone targets with 13. Demaryius Thomas has 8 catches, 135 yards and no TDs in his last 2 games. As a WR3 Decker is averaging 5.6 catches and 80 YPG. Orange Julius is the #2 ranked TE and has at least one TD in 5/6 games.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

The Colts suffered a tough loss Monday Night. The Chargers kept the Colts offense off the field for what seemed like most of the game. The Colts could not get any momentum going in this one, especially on 3rd down, thanks to the Chargers defense and some crucial drops. It only gets harder as the Broncos roll into town in what should be a shootout.

Fantasy Relevant

QBAndrew Luck should be in for a big game. You have to throw to stay pace with the Broncos and Denver is allowing 338 passing yards per game and 21.3 FPPG to the QB.

RBsTrent Richardson has 60 rushing yards or less in 9 straight games. Denver has allowed the fewest rushing yards to RBs.

Receiving – The Broncos have allowed more pass plays of 15+ yards than anyone else with 52. Six WRs have topped 100 yards so far this season against Denver. Wayne and Hilton should both have big games. Fleener has 16 yards or less in 4 of his 6 games. However in those other 2 games (both against weak defenses VS the TE) he has 146 yards and 2 TDs. He could be a great punt TE option.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

The Vikings were crushed 35-10 by the Panthers in week 6. Matt Cassel and AP could muster very little offense against the stingy Panthers defense. Josh Freeman will apparently take over at QB in week 7 against the Giants.

Fantasy Relevant

QBJosh Freeman will start Monday night. The NYG are 31st VS the QB allowing 23.6 FPPG. Freeman has a big arm and is very cheap, he could be a sneaky GPP play.

RBs – Adrian Peterson is averaging over 6 YPC in his last 2 games and the Giants rank 22nd VS the RB allowing 21.6 FPPG.

Receiving – With Freeman at QB there should be some more down field looks for all receivers. Greg Jennings had 10 targets in week 6. The NYG rank 22nd VS the WR. Kyle Rudolph could be in for another big week with the Giants allowing 14.7 FPPG to the TE 6th most on the NFL.

NEW YORK GIANTS

The Giants fell to 0-6 at the hands of the Bears on Thursday night. Eli threw three more INTs giving him a league high 15 on the season. Brandon Jacobs went old school with 106 rushing yards and 2 TDs. The Bears had no answer for him, as Jacobs broke tackle after tackle all night. He would eventually leave the game with a hamstring injury. The Giants are in a good position to get their first win hosting the Vikings Monday night.

Fantasy Relevant

QBEli Manning will face the Vikings who have the 6th worst pass coverage per PFF. Minnesota is ranked 28th VS the QB, allowing 22 FPPG. Even in this matchup can Eli be trusted? I think so. The Vikings have an average pass rush and terrible secondary, plus Manning has some solid weapons still.

RBsDavid Wilson is still out. Brandon Jacobs was a beast last week, and his hammy injury appears to be minor. The Vikings are dead last VS the RB allowing a whopping 27.5 FPPG.

Receiving – Everyone is in play. MIN is allowing over 300 YPG and has allowed a 100 yard receiver in 4 straight games. The Vikings are allowing the 7th most FPPG to the WR and rank 29th overall against the pass. Victor Cruz is averaging over 90 YPG, Rueben Randle is ranked #4 at WR in the last 2 weeks and Hakeem Nicks has 70+ yards in 4/6 games. Minnesota is allowing 14.9 FPPG to the TE, but Brandon Myers has just 7 targets combined in the last 3 weeks.

Good luck grinders!
