Rankings Article Returns and Mbomb44 Tops NBA Leaderboard!

Our RotoGrinders Rankings Article disappeared for a short while there while we completely revamped our rankings systems. We are finally back on track though and it couldn’t come at a better time. As the NBA season winds down, MLB heats up and the daily fantasy action is swarming with activity. Mbomb44 was tops for the 2012-13 NBA season but in today’s special edition article we also look at the current Top-100 as well as who finished best in NHL DFS. Last but not least we’ll go through the early 2013 MLB Leaderboard.

Breaking Down the Top 10

#1 Condia – The volume played by Condia is unmatched and his ranking reflects that. He’s held the #1 spot for the past 6 months and is showing absolutely no sign of releasing it.

#2 Mbomb44 – Gonna save Mbomb44’s fanfare for his big shout out as the NBA Grinders Leaderboard Champion!

#3 Ehafner – Ehafner has emerged as one of daily fantasy’s best all around players after a tremendous NBA season. Oh ya, he also topped our College Basketball and Hockey Rankings this season. He knows a little bit of everything.

#4 PrimeTime420 – With 2 seats in the DFBC already and 1 seat into StarStreet’s Playboy Championship, he continues to prove that he is in the discussion as one of the best daily fantasy players around.

#5 STLCardinals84 – STLCardinals made his move recently after spending a long time in the top-10. He finished April in 2nd on the monthly leaderboard and currently sits in 6th for MLB.

#6 BirdWings – One of the top MLB players around, BirdWings has had a hot start to the current season and is 3rd in those rankings. Combine that with his 18th place NBA ranking and you can start to see how he earned his spot in the top 10.

#7 MaxDalury – After a slower NBA season by his standards, and by that I mean he was 42nd overall, he has returned for MLB and already sits in 2nd on the MLB Leaderboard. He has been #1 overall before so don’t be surprised if he makes another push for that position.

#8 BrettFavre44 – He hasn’t played in awhile but in his hay-day he was enough of a force to keep himself in the top 10 despite not playing in 3 months. Wow.

#9 Notorious – He writes many of the Grind Down and Grind Down+ Articles AND he wins at an incredible pace. Hands down one of the best all-around players in daily fantasy, though he must be sad to see NBA go, he really excels there.

#10 CSURam88 – StarStreet’s own Peter Jennings aka CSURam rounds out the Top-10. His biggest claim to fame was his win of the 2012 FFFC for a smooth $150,000 but he also had an incredible NBA season, finishing 5th on our NBA Leaderboard.

Mbomb44 Takes Down NBA 2012-13

Here are some of the incredible stats to take away from Mbomb’s legendary NBA season:

1) He finished in the top 20% of leagues entered 15,613 times during an 82 game NBA season.
2) His average buy-in level was just under $27
3) His average league size was 45 players.
4) He accumulated 154,000+ points for his Grinders Leaderboard NBA Ranking.

If we do some quick math here and just take a look at his 15,000 Top 20% finishes that means he averaged 85 top 20% finishes a day over the 6-month season (rounded to about 180 total days of action). That is absolutely baffling. He took down FanDuel’s $270 GPP on FOUR occasions throughout the year and had over 100 top-10s in GPPs overall.

So big congrats to Mbomb44 on an NBA season that he resoundingly won by 4,000 GLB points!

Ehafner First in NHL 2013 Grinders Leaderboard

As I mentioned above, Ehafner seems to have a pretty good handle on just about every sport. He topped the NHL Leaderboard this season in a tight battle with fellow Grinder Lowkey who finished under 1,000 beneath ehafner.
