Fantasy Contests Available

DraftKings have posted their main GPP contest with a $60,000 USD pool for a $10 USD entry. The contest is a 150 max contest. However, once contests are filled that is it! They do not continue to grow, so ensure you have your entry in your chosen contest reserved!

Quirky Fact – In 2019 the Bulldogs were one of the toughest teams to score against in the league, while through 2 rounds in 2020 they have given up the second most fantasy points

Lineup building tips: There are three clear trends that come from the Data Tools on our Daily Fantasy Rankings site. First of all, the Bulldogs are leaking so much fantasy points to premium opposition Midfielders in the league they are actually the worst in this position. Secondly, Ruckman Tim English is unable to stop opposition Ruckman fantasy output, giving up the most fantasy points to Rucks. Thirdly and more importantly, the Giants Matt de Boer is sent to the best midfielder for the Bulldogs. In previous matches de Boer has gone straight to the Bulldogs’ Marcus Bontempelli and this close attention is called ‘Tagging’.

Players of Interest

Sam Jacobs – R – $6,400

All signs are pointing to Tim English being the easiest target for rucks in the league with English giving up 96 fantasy points per game through 2 games. Furthermore, Sam Jacobs has recent history against English from when the Crows faced the Bulldogs in Round 23 last season. Jacobs put on a ruck domination with 58 hit outs and 115 fantasy points. He just monstered English in the contest, and unfortunately through two games there has yet to be any evidence that something will have changed in this regard. 1st and easiest decision you make here.

Jye Caldwell – M – $4,300

Caldwell was popular against the Kangaroos in Round 2 and saluted the “value gang” with a 54 point performance. Whilst minimal, Caldwell has attended centre bounces and is looking like a dream matchup for anyone in a Giants uniform at the moment. Particularly those playing through the midfield and up forward, which is where Caldwell spends the majority of his time.

Lachlan Ash – D – $2,900

Ash is a highly touted first game player for the Giants after being taken in the 1st round in the 2019 draft. Ash is a defender but plays “loose” looking to intercept Marks and possess an accurate kick. Can’t ignore his low price and only needs 40+ to smash value.

Jacob Hopper – M – $6,600

I love the Hopper play at the moment, especially at this price. He is not as popular as Josh Kelly, Stephen Coniglio or Lachie Whitefield, however he has a more certain role through the middle at the moment. Hopper is one of the top players in centre bounce attendances for the Giants this season with 17 in Round 2 (behind only Jacobs and De Boer). Hopper looks to be the best matchup for midfielders in the league across a small sample this season and he is ‘almost’ a total lock and load play for me.
