Carlton are unchanged and North have players that are coming in are somewhat fantasy irrelevant (apart from one). Sydney through injuries have brought in a debut for Matthew Ling who himself has suffered many injuries before his 1st game for the Swans. Justin Westoff has been dropped with Brad Ebert returning from suspension.

Fantasy Contests Available

DraftKings have posted their main GPP contest with a $30,000 USD pool for a $12 USD entry and $10,000 on top for the winner. The contest is a 88 max contest. DraftKings are now starting to post contests and salaries at earlier times which is fantastic to study for lineups.

Lineup Building tip: Hawthorn is on this slate and we all know what that means. Load up on their opponent’s backs. This has been a trend going back at least two years now and they continue to set up their structure allowing the cheap kicks across half back. This season they have given up +5.2 points per game to the position and this is even higher when you look at just the top 3 scoring players.

Players of Interest

Luke Davies-Uniacke – M/F – $2,700
The 2017 First Round draft pick will play his first game of the 2020 season after a shoulder reconstruction ended his 2019 campaign then groin soreness has ruined his 2020. Finally he is back and he has a point to prove to his teammates and North fans. The former no. 4 pick is below $3K and should be “OK” to plug in if you need a value play. LDU started well in 2019 with a 71 and 90 fantasy point effort, but was irrelevant from there on with 40-60 point performances.

Curtis Taylor – F – $4,500
With Taylor’s injury affected Round 6 score keeping his price down, Taylor is at $4,500 which represents some good value. 74FP in Round 5 and 72 in Round 7, Taylor has been one of the better players for the Kangaroos who are not known to score fantasy points on mass. 18 Disposals along with 6 Marks is a great return at this price point.

Callum Mills – D – $6,000
We can’t get away from playing backs against the Hawks. The weather poses an issue, particularly given most defenders rely on the mark / kicks across the back line to score. However, Mills already had a situation similar to this a few games back against the Tigers (who love giving up points to defenders) in wet and slippery conditions. They resulted in a massive 125 points. I will be linking Mills with other Sydney defenders, including Jake Lloyd and Dane Rampe (check his scores against the Hawks and remember key backs vs Hawthorn).

Luke Parker – M – $7,900
Parker is the one to spend up for with George Hewett out with injury which requires more responsibility and game time in the “guts”. Parker was huge last week and returned a massive 110 points against the Suns. With the injury battles the Swans have had through the midfield it really leaves it all up to Parker who should revell in the wet conditions as an inside tackling machine.
