Weather Forecast

1st game up is in Brisbane and expecting a sunny day at the Gabba. It will be quite cool in Melbourne at the MCG for the Demons and the Cats but no issues for footy.

The Kangaroos and Hawks game will be played underneath the Marvel roof.

Team Announcements

Final teams can be accessed via the League’s Website afl.com.au for this match and a reminder that confirmed starters are at 60 minutes before the match commences.
Brisbane welcome back midfielder Dayne Zorko while Adelaide have dumped Matt Crouch from the Crows side. Five changes at Melbourne but these five are not that fantasy relevant. Darcy Fort will be the number 1 ruckman for the Cats with Rhys Stanley injured. Ben Cunnington returns for North and will go straight back into the midfield.

Fantasy Contests Available

DraftKings have posted their main GPP contest with a $35,000 USD pool for a $10 USD entry. The contest is a 123 max contest. DraftKings are now starting to post contests and salaries at earlier times which is fantastic to grow the fantasy pools.

Quirky Fact – It has been a disastrous start for the Adelaide Crows and they have cleary give up the most fantasy points as a team in the competition. On average, opponents score 272 more fantasy points as a team than the Crows through 3 rounds.

Lineup Building tip: 5 man Brisbane stacks are going to be very popular today, especially with plenty of min priced options around other teams on the slate. All of these min priced players are expected to score within a range of 25-50 so look to pivot instead investing in one or two plays.

Players of Interest

Max Gawn – R – $8,700

Like Brodie Grundy on Friday, you need to budget Max Gawn against the inexperienced Darcy Fort and Esava Ratugolea (who are only Forward eligible for the Cats). Gawn is simply going to monster Fort around the ground and if you think his 123 against the Blues was his ceiling, then guess again. Some merit paying down to Todd Goldstein (NM) but Jono Ceglar (Haw) is more than capable.

Dayne Zorko – M – $6,500

Oops… DraftKings missed this one. Dayne Zorko at $6,500 is pure white chalk. Zorko missed round 3 through injury and has only averaged 64FP through two games in 2030 but you only need to look at Zorko’s 2019 to justify his selection. 12 games over 100+ with 5 games over 130+ (in 12 minute quarters). Zorko is your first selection in your Lions stack. Playing Lachie Neale doesn’t seem so bad at $8,400 now.

Jack Mahony – M/F – $2,600

Small forward/Midfielder Mahony who was a late draft pick for the Kangaroos in 2019, will play his debut game. Mahony has impressed the North coaches through training and practice matches (3 goals last week). A pressure player up forward, Mahony is an option at the minimum price.

Jake Kolodjashnij – D – $3,000

This is the first game for Kolodjashnij for the Cats this season after returning from off-season hip surgery. The Demons are number 1 league in 2020 for scores against opposition Backs and this could be a fill up for Jake and his fellow defenders. Kolodjashnij scored 75 against the Demons in this corresponding fixture in 2019. His floor is low but at this price he is worth a shot.
