Bank of Utah Championship Weather Report and Forecast

PGA golfer Carson Young

We’re back in the states this week for the Bank of Utah Championship, and the weather is nice enough to have me plotting a future vacation to Southwest Utah.

As usual in my PGA weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts.

With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another.

You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on the best DFS sites.

Bank of Utah Championship Weather Forecast

Thursday, October 23rd

Perfect from the start, or at least as close to perfect as you could reasonably hope for. Winds are calm (0-5 mph) in the morning and light (5-10 mph) in the afternoon. There’s a slim chance for a sprinkle or shower in the morning, but I doubt it.

Friday, October 24th

Another day with nearly calm winds in the morning and light winds in the afternoon; max sustained winds should stay under 10 mph all day.

Saturday, October 25th

It’s a really nice day for golf with no precip, mild temps, and winds hovering around 5 mph.

Sunday, October 26th

Closing it out with more perfect weather. Winds will stay light all day long.

Bank of Utah Championship Weather Thoughts

There’s just not much weather here to break down; it’s pretty much perfect all tournament long. I don’t think there’s any weather advantage to be found this week, so I’d stick with RotoGrinders experts and projections instead of looking for a weather lean.
