Bears vs. Vikings Same Game Parlay Picks for Today

Williams of the Bears

The Bears travel to Minnesota to battle the Vikings in an NFC North showdown. The Vikings can tie the Lions atop the division with a home victory — potentially setting up a must-see matchup in Week 18 of the NFL season. DraftKings Sportsbook features the Vikings as large home favorites but Caleb Williams and his growing offense look to play spoiler on Monday night.

Bears vs. Vikings Same Game Parlay Preview

The Bears are 7-point underdogs in Minnesota on Monday night. ScoresAndOdds reports a majority of betting action on the Vikings side of the moneyline and spread. The implied game total is 44 points, with a wide majority of bettors placing bets on the over. That said, only 57% of the betting handle on the game total chose the over for Monday Night Football. Perhaps the Minnesota defense can shut down the Chicago Bears?

The problem with that line of thinking is the disregard for the potency of the Minnesota offense. Sam Darnold put together a career performance last weekend — torching the Falcons with 347 passing yards and 5 touchdown passes. Minnesota ranks inside the top 10 in scoring on offense, and over their last 3 games, they averaged 31.7 points. The Vikings are granted another great matchup against a Chicago team that looks to be playing out the rest of the season. Chicago has allowed more than 30 points per game over their last three matchups.

The Vikings can match the Lions in record with a victory at home against the Bears. This would set the teams up to potentially play for the NFC North and maybe even the top seed in the NFC in Week 18 at Detroit. The home team comes into the divisional contest pretty healthy. Aaron Jones is off the injury report while Stephon Gilmore remains questionable.

The Bears have notable injuries in the backfield ahead of Monday night’s kickoff. Roschon Johnson was ruled out with a concussion. D’Andre Swift is questionable after missing practice on Thursday and Friday. The Bears have very little to offer behind Swift with Travis Homer next on the depth chart. Swift will be in line for a massive workload if he can suit up.

Addison of the Vikings

Jordan Addison is on fire for the Vikings. Addison lit the Falcons up for 3 touchdowns in Week 14. However, Addison caught 8 of his 9 targets against the Bears a few weeks ago for 162 yards and a touchdown. Addison is benefiting greatly from the attention paid to Justin Jefferson. He remains a big-play threat on a very explosive offense.

The Vikings defense is incredible — likely earning Brian Flores some head coaching interviews during the offseason. The Vikings are strong across the board but completely stifle opposing rushing attacks. For this reason, the Minnesota defense has become a quasi-pass funnel. Teams will abandon the run and try to attack the Vikings through the air. The Vikings allow the most pass attempts per game (38.4). Caleb Williams will have plenty of pass attempts if the Bears find themselves behind in this contest. Williams threw for more than 300 yards in the disappointing overtime loss to the Vikings a few weeks ago.

The table is set. Minnesota’s offense is high-powered and the defense is stalwart. Can the Bears keep up with Minnesota? Will Chicago find a way to keep this game close and actually close out a victory?

Let’s build a same game parlay for Monday Night Football in Minnesota.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Bears vs. Vikings

Caleb Williams 200+ Passing Yards

For tonight’s game, I want to capitalize on the algorithm for which DraftKings produces SGP odds. Normally, DraftKings wants to incentivize us to negatively correlate our parlays by boosting odds. For example, selecting the Vikings to cover the spread but then betting two touchdowns for the Bears would normally come with inflated odds because the outcomes don’t correlate in a positive manner.

I think the Vikings win. I am not sure if they cover the spread, but they are surely the better team. That said, I think the Vikings pass funnel offers plenty of upside for Williams and his passing props.

Williams threw for 300+ yards in their last contest. I think 200+ is within reason as a starting point.

D.J. Moore Over 57.5 Receiving Yards

Moore continues to benefit from a new offensive coordinate. The Bears continue to work to get the ball in Moore’s hands immediately and let the explosive playmaker create yards after the catch. Moore has 7 or more targets in his last 4 games.

Against the Vikings, Moore caught all 7 of his targets for more than 100 receiving yards. Adding a touchdown, Moore was very efficient as the Bears nearly upset Minnesota. We noted how the Vikings funnel work to the passing game by shutting down the run. I think Moore has a chance at double-digit targets in a game where the Bears should be playing from behind.

D’Andre Swift Over 12.5 Receiving Yards

We need to monitor the news. However, if Swift plays, he is going to get all of the touches he can handle.

We are not interested in carries. The Bears might not be interested in carries either. With Johnson out, Swift is going to handle all of the running back workload and could see a couple of additional targets. Swift exceeded this number against the Vikings in overtime and 7 other games. Williams should be dropping back to pass a lot in this game. When Swift isn’t blocking, he is a receiving threat. Let’s close with the over.

Minnesota Moneyline

This parlay was all Bears. For that reason, the positive correlation with all these legs provided deflated odds.

So, we are adding a rare fourth leg. When we add the Vikings to win the game, we boost our odds up to +405. If the game is in question late, you can always hedge with the moneyline bet on the Bears.
