Goalie
Devan Dubnyk – When the Wild play on home ice, their defense has been among the best in the business at limiting the looks opposing offenses see. Though overall shot attempts are up in all venues, on home ice the Wild allow a bottom third rate of attempts at 5v5. Better yet, they have the lowest per-hour rates of both scoring chances and high-danger shot attempts at 5v5 among teams playing at home. With the Red Wings in town, Dubnyk should easily atone for his brutal outing in Colorado two nights ago. Detroit does not do anything particularly well on offense; they play slow and lack a strong system that boosts production. They should struggle to crack the code of the Wild tonight, setting up Dubnyk as the safest netminder today based on his on-paper matchup.
