Best Chiefs vs. Broncos Player Prop Bets for Sunday Night Football

HOU-KC

What kind of performances can we expect on Sunday Night Football from Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Teddy Bridgewater, Jerry Jeudy? NFL betting analyst Nick Galaida has his picks. Follow along as he breaks down his four favorite prop bets for Chiefs vs. Broncos on Sunday Night Football.

This evening the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs will battle at Arrowhead Stadium. Entering play, the Broncos have won three of their last four contests, having beaten the Washington Football Team, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Chargers in that span . Kansas City has not lost since before Halloween—winning four consecutive games against the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Dallas Cowboys. On Sunday Night Football, oddsmakers are expecting a relatively easy victory for Kansas City, pricing the Chiefs as 8.5-point home favorites on the spread. As we approach kickoff, the value on the spread and the total has been reduced compared to its opening market price. Instead of forcing action on saturated markets, bettors may find more expected value on player props for this Thursday Night Football game.

Chiefs vs. Broncos Player Props

Teddy Bridgewater o o21.5 pass completions (-110)

Prior to last week’s easy victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Teddy Bridgewater had completed at least 19 passes six consecutive games and nine of his previous ten games. This is a very favorable matchup for Bridgewater on Sunday Night Football against a Chiefs defense that is allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 66.7 percent of their pass attempts this season. In what is likely to be a pass-heavy game script for Denver, Bridgewater should have little trouble eclipsing this threshold. Take the over.

Patrick Mahomes – “Yes” Interception (+102)

As we mentioned in our full-game preview for this contest, Patrick Mahomes has been reckless with the football this fall. Amongst qualified quarterbacks this season, Mahomes ranks 28th in the league with 11 interceptions. The Broncos have held opposing quarterbacks to the fourth-lowest passer rating in football, including forcing 10 interceptions. Mahomes is likely to be under duress quite frequently this evening. His tendency to take risks in the passing game should result in at least one turnover through the air.

Travis Kelce – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100)

If you are a believer in positive regression to the mean, this is a good opportunity to buy-low. Travis Kelce has only five receiving touchdowns this fall, and has only one trip to the end zone in his last seven games. His 2021 results have been in stark contrast to his 2020 campaign, in which he scored a touchdown in 12 of his 18 games, counting the postseason. Mahomes is still targeting Kelce more than anyone on the team, other than Tyreek Hill. Kelce is sure to get a few looks in the red zone this evening. It could be time for him, and his supporters in the betting community, to cash in on these targets.

Jerry Jeudy- Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+300)

If looking for more of a longshot player prop to consider this evening, Jerry Jeudy is worth a look. Per Pro Football Focus, 145 of Jeudy’s 196 offensive snaps this season have come in the slot. This makes it likely that Jeudy will see plenty of coverage from L’Jarius Sneed, who has been one of the worst slot cornerbacks in the NFL in 2021. Teddy Bridgwater has 15 passing touchdowns this season, which is a little bit more than one per game. If Bridgewater throws two touchdowns this evening, there is a realistic chance that Jeudy is the recipient of one of them. Do not bet the house on a +300 prop, but this is a play worth considering.
