Both sign-up promos are self-explanatory and don’t have much else that needs to be explained. One thing that you need to know about, however, is that your first wager on bet365 can’t be on just any market. The odds of your first bet need to have odds of -500 or longer, regardless if it’s a straight bet or a parlay.

What are odds of -500 or longer you may be wondering? Most markets fall under these odds. Any underdog and favorite with odds such as the Timberwolves’ -200 moneyline count. But odds like -550 or -800 (which don’t pay out much anyway) aren’t eligible odds. You’ll forgo your promo if your first bet fails to meet bet365’s requirement.

One other thing to know is bet365 is one of the rare sportsbooks that don’t divide your bonus bets into a predetermined split. You get complete creative control over how you want to spend your rewards over the next seven days, which makes your user experience that much more fun.

How I’d wager my first bet on Game 2 between the Mavericks and Timberwolves

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals was as entertaining as we could’ve hoped for. Kyrie Irving set the tone early for the Mavericks, and Luka Doncic closed out the win, while Anthony Edwards struggled in his first Conference Finals game. Dallas won while shooting just 6-for-25 from distance, but they won the rebounding battle and shot better at the free throw line.

The line for Game 2 is still in favor of the Timberwolves. Interestingly enough, the spread is now 5 points after opening at 3.5 points. Minnesota’s moneyline is -205, which would net $4.88 for a $10 bet. The Mavericks have a nice moneyline price of +170, which nets $17 off a $10 wager.

While the payout isn’t great, I like the Timberwolves’ moneyline most in this game. They were leading most of Game 1 and can adjust defensively to fix some of their weaknesses. Edwards was second team All-NBA for a reason, and I don’t see him struggling again.

If Irving isn’t hunting his shot as much in the first half, that will help Edwards’ stamina in the second half. I still trust Minnesota’s defense more than Dallas’ defense, although the Mavericks gained a lot of respect in my eyes for how tenacious their defensive effort was.
