BetMGM bonus code RGTOP: Get first wager on Pacers vs. Celtics or any other game insured Thursday

$1,500 is the maximum amount of first bet insurance you can find in the industry, and the BetMGM bonus code RGTOP arguably does it better than anyone else. If your first wager of $50 or more loses, you get five chances to win with five bets each worth 20% of your stake. If your first bet was less than $50, you get one chance back to try and win.

In addition to doing their first bet insurance promotion well, BetMGM has a one-of-a-kind deposit match offer you can redeem instead with bonus code RG1600. Deposit as much as $8,000 in cash and you’ll see 20% of that amount credited to your account as a sports bonus thanks to BetMGM matching it.

Other sportsbooks running first bet insurance promotions include Caesars, bet365, and DraftKings. DraftKings is the only other sportsbook offering an amount as high as $1,500, while Caesars and bet365 max out at $1,000.

A notable difference between BetMGM and DraftKings is the latter only gives you one bonus bet back if you lose no matter how much it was. Granted, you only get one bonus bet back if you wagered less than $50 on BetMGM. But if you wager above $50, getting five 20% bonus bets back gives you more chances of winning.

This bonus code has no comparison, as nobody else has a deposit match promo available to new players. Online casinos are where deposit match promos are usually available, but BetMGM’s deposit match is good for those with lofty wagering goals.

Because of their 10x wagering requirement you must meet within 30 days, this isn’t a promo for casual players. Your sports bonus and winnings expire if that wagering requirement isn’t met. For example, $250 in bonus funds would mean you need to bet $2,500 in your own money within 30 days. If this isn’t attainable, I recommend BetMGM’s first bet insurance.

Game 2 betting preview between the Pacers and Celtics

After an instant classic Game 1 that saw the Celtics escape with a five point win, BetMGM has Boston as 8.5-point favorites entering Game 2. Their moneyline is -400, which is one of the better prices out there for that market. The Pacers’ +310 moneyline market is as great a price as you’ll find for a playoff team this late in the race.

If there were doubts over whether the Celtics had championship DNA, they were laid to rest in Game 1. They played their best when it mattered most in the fourth quarter and overtime.

The Pacers will be kicking themselves for choking the win away, but they have a lot they could’ve done differently. Their 21 turnovers were deadly, and they only shot ten free throws compared to the Celtics’ 30. Despite a good stat line and splashing six threes, Tyrese Haliburton’s -11 box score and costly mistakes at the end of the game are noteworthy.

My pick for Game 2 is the Celtics covering -8.5 points. That’s less a prediction based on the Pacers (who proved they can hang) and more thinking that the Celtics will wake up. Game 2 has been where Boston stumbled in their first two series, but they were dominant the rest of the way. I think almost dropping Game 1 was the wake up call for them this series that’ll see them play better starting in Game 2.
