Target # 1 – Kevin Durant
I know that Kevin Durant has been out for weeks now, but when the playoffs roll around fans will be at the edge of their seats with KD on the floor. Let’s sum this up with his career playoff averages, shall we? KD is averaging 29.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg, and 4.0 apg. Not to mention a block and a steal each. When healthy, he is one of the most lethal snipers in the game, and it shows up big time in the playoffs. As of this very moment we are seeing a slight dip in his Topps Base PSA 10 and I think this is the perfect opportunity to buy now. When he returns the price will only continue to go up.
Target # 2 – Damian Lillard
It goes without saying that when the playoffs kick into high gear it’s always Dame Time! This is a guy that wants the ball in his hands for the last shot, and has proven that he can get a bucket with the game on the line. He’s already had another monumental moment this season against the Chicago Bulls, and I suspect that another of these Dame Time buzzer beaters may be on the way. Not only that, Portland is getting healthy, and with the Lakers falling steadily by the day they may be able to have some form of a home court advantage if they keep up their stellar play. This team has an outside shot and getting to the NBA Finals and if they get there we would have already seen some special moments from Dame Dolla himself.
Target # 3 – LeBron James
Yes, we are going to include Mr. Postseason himself LeBron James! I think LeBron and AD return in time to keep this team afloat for the playoffs. It may be a path that this team did not anticipate when the season kicked off, but it seems like the Lakers may finish in the bottom half and have to climb their way up. I don’t think anyone wants to see the Lakers in the first round, but this is what it’s shaping up to be. The Lakers currently sit in 4th place, and could continue to fall the longer LeBron and AD are out. I think this gives the champs just the chip they need to push towards another championship run and LeBron will be a huge part of it! The card prices on his Lakers Prizm Silver PSA 10 has really been trending down and I think now is the perfect time to pick this up before the playoff surge.
